Rodgers may be as you claim a "top man" but he is no more suitable for this job than Kingsley. If Church failed in the most vital aspect of the game then he failed never mind his movement. Mills did ok as did Tabb and Matejovsky had bright moments as well. However, we lost and no amount of rubbish on the radio or on here about the Positives from the match disguises the fact that we have Jack to show for it.

You little boy are a complete mook stop showing off and realise that tonight was just like all the other games the only difference being we had more shots than usual. We still came out for the second half after yet another half time team talk by Rodgers and looked disjointed. I'm sick of hearing the excuses from you and others. We may turn it round but if you haven't noticed right now we're in the sh*t and no amount of posing by the likes of you can cover it up.

Thought Reading were very good in the first half but sadly have 3 League 1/League 2 forwards on their books and in the squad tonight which is what's cost them the game. Leicester were no great shakes before they scored, immediately after could have been 2 and then they had the best two chances of the second half.

First half loads of chances but it's not 'unlucky'' in lots of cases it's bad play. I got bored of watching CHurch fluff his lines, terrible terrible centre forward. Not even tough chances. In fact two of the strikes he actually connected half decent with were the two toughest chances where it came to him at pace. But that one on one shortly before they scored, had all the time in the world to pick his spot, just swang a left foot at it and didn't even get it on sodding target.

There were lots of good moves, good bits of play, all involving Magic and his Rolls Royce style of football which is just so much better than his team mates it's frightening, how on God's earth he hasn't played every match for Reading and crap like Cisse, Gunnarsson and the rest are favoured instead is just insanity.


Church not good enough in League 1 for 3 clubs, Rasiak couldn't get a game for League 1 southampton and Long who isn't good enough for anyone. That's why we're third bottom. 1 decent forward and Reading go into half time 4-1 up and game over.

Reading played the best they have in yonks and STILL managed to lose tonight. Signs of a team heading down.

Hope Rodgers can get another centre forward in asap because his job depends on him doing so, because those 3 clowns will get him the sack.

Better - but we were crying out for a Dave Kitson/Nicky Forster/Jamie Cureton/Martin Butler tonight - delete as appropriate.

Church - loads of effort but a good striker hits the target 1 on 1 - bad miss.
Rasiak - statue-esque.

Marek - played really well - few loose passes but Rodgers has to keep him in.

Kebe - God one minute - Chaplin the next - Charlie that is - still think he's worth a first team spot.

McDuff, Long, Howard - not fit to wear the hoops - Long looks disinterested, McDuff gives a 45 min performance and Howard is a poor mans Harper - without the fitness or ability.

These players are hell bent on getting Todger the tin tack!

Maybe in the cold light of day I might agree with that, he moves more than Rasiak he has reasonable pace but his finishing is dire. To miss the target with that chance when the team is struggling is criminal. He had other chances as well. Rasiak tries hard but his mbility is poor, he's not great in the air for someone 6'3. I feel with Rasiak more than the others if he gets chances on goal he might score a few but his lack of mobility will mean he doesn't get the chances that Church had.

I dont care what Rodgers says, his team never seems to have both posts covered, inswinging, outswinging or any other way he wants to complicate it

Bertrand gets on one post, sometimes the near and sometimes the far but thats it. The two corners before the one they score they set up exactly the same way and did exactly the same things apart from Gylfi got beaten by his man for the goal

If the players dont follow his instructions then he needs to sort that out, but we never have both posts marked and there just isnt time for Tabb to adjust from marking his man to getting on the post in the time a corner is driven to the edge of the 6 yard box and the player flicks it with pace as he did for their goal

FWIW's, from my comfy seat in the pub I thought it was the best we played all season with more positives than negjatives. Church played excellently aside from scoring, his movement was first class and him & Rasiak seemed the best pairing we had all season. Rasiak himself was a nuscience 1st half and was wrongly called offside on his 1 on 1 with the keeper. Matejovsky delievered the kind of performance he was capable off just something we haven't seen often enough. McAnuff & Howard were good. My only worry is Pearce. The guy hasn't improved 1 bit a year on after breaking into the team, he has no pace and looks woefully 1 footed. He maybe a good leader but my 4th choice center half.

Dissapointing result, but I'm probably more confident than I was pre game. Of course it will count for nothing come Saturday 3pm when you never know which side will turn out at Coventry.

Im quite surprised by all the praise Marek is getting.

He played some awesome passes but some equally shocking ones.

I think someone posted on here couple of days ago that Marek has scored twice and 0 assists in his Reading career.

Both goals were consolations, so that means hes contributed no end product at all.

Its quite funny that Kebe has scored the same and set up lots in the same period but hes considered poor. They are both flair players but Marek cant deliver an end product.

Well he set up both goals at Plymouth last season and another against Sheffield Wednesday away so that's your 0 assists down the toilet.
