Reading are a very good side under Brian Mcdermott, if they can keep that team together will go very close next season assuming they dont make the play offs this season.

I was very impressed too.

We had no answer to them alas.

Reading Peterborough
Goals : 6 0
Possession : 67% 33%
Shots On Target : 13 0
Shots Off Target : 11 3
Corners : 15 2
Fouls : 6 13
Most Fouls : Long (2) Mills (3)
Yellow Cards : 1 0
Red Cards : 0 0

Theres the stats. not a single shot on target.

The highlights on the Championship didn't show the two dissallowed goals and the penalty that wasn't given.... Anyone get a good view? Were both goals clearly offside? Was it a penalty or a dive?

Second offside goal IMHO was not offside, not by a long way.

paultheroyal Griffin can't settle down south and won't be returning.

LOL@ can't settle down within the same country. He's playing at stoke which is like two hours away. Why not live there and commute?

If sig can settle moving from iceland at 14....

Seriously though its a shame if true, hasn't remotely effected his performances on the pitch.

Griff's family is settled in North Staffordshire, with his kids at school there - quite different from a single person moving at an early age.

..shame I'd like us to keep the Grifter as he's been solid and exactly what we needed to steady the ship through Jan/Feb's troubled waters.

We've a lot to be thankful to the guy for!

Something which I thought was telling from our two games with Posh.

After the 3-2 loss Rodgers turned to the BR book of poor excuses andsaid that we should have been 4-0 up at half time, obviously we went on to lose.

I hope you were watching yesterday Rodgers as thats how a proper team with a proper manager win a game of football, with ourselves funnily enough being 4-0 up at half time!

I'm pretty sure if Griffin wanted to stay the club / himself and his family could come to an arrangement. It seems to me that his football is not being affected by this, he took the decision to make the loan move and surely loan/ permanent move is something that will not take him out of the routine he's already in. He must be seeing his family enough to be settled here as it's not affecting his game on the pitch.

Brilliant performance and a perfect day.
We attacked solidly for 90 minutes and they just had no answer to anything. In the end Peterborrough must realise that 6-0 was a lucky escape. If we had had a bit more luck in front of goal it would have been more.

Fed n/a
Griffin 10 - motm set up two of the goals, one with a perfect pass to kebe, the second with the run and cross the Long scooped onto the bar.
Bertrand 9 - I loved the pronunciation of his name on the BBC
Pearce 9 - looked commanding
Kish 9 - piss-takingly good at times

Tabb 9 - all action
Howard 10 - I really didn't think he had such performances in him under Rodgers
MacAnuff 10 - back to being a genius
Kebe 9 - on this formonly teams like Newcastle will cope with him next year

Sigurdson 10 - I wanted him to get the hat-trick, but then I didn't

Long 9 - led the line and let the three other attackers play and got his goal

View from North Stand: that was the worst yellow for diving ever - blatant penalty. Couldn't tell the two offsides of course!

Then How did you have a BETTER view than the referee that was about 7-8 yards away?

You can only beat what's put in front of you and we certainly did that. Peterborough looked every inch a relegated side who were completely disinterested in being on the pitch today - if I was an away fan i'd be fuming that their players picked up a pay cheque this week.

So, great opportunity for the Reading players to express themselves, particularly Sigurdsson who looked excellent after barely touching the ball against Newcastle. I've never seen Reading score 7 so was a bit disappointed we spaffed away so many chances. Special mention to Shane LOLong for showing his true colours with that brilliant miss.

Where I sit was more or less in line with the lino for both disallowed goals and I and others around me called them both as offside.

All players miss chances like that. Overall he had a good game...Won loads of headers against their centre half's and took his goal very well indeed.
