SPARTA Aaron Kuhl / Screech

f you bumped into him in the street you would never in a million years think he was a professional (soon to be) footballer.

Royals and Racers
Sutekh
winchester_royal Kelly hat trick. The Youth Cup game this Wednesday should be a good one. Hopefully we'll get a decent crowd down there.

Believe it'll be live on the Reading channel on youtube, also I would expect LFC TV to have it live for those who get that channel on cable/satellite

Live on LFC TV sky chanel 429 programme starts 6.30 pm

Thanks for confirming, LFC TV is channel 544 for those with Virgin Media.

A massively inexperienced U21 team is thumping Bolton 4-1 atm. Team includes a number of first year scholars who are yet to break into the U18's this season and are only playing because of injuries and the imminent nature of the youth cup game.

Tonight's U21 line up: Moore Sheppard, Griffin, Collins, Cooper, Sweeney, Ofori, Murombedzi, Taylor-Crossdale, Vastsuk, Williams

Subs: Lincoln, Jules, Waritay, Urbancic

Think the ones I've bolded are the first years.

Seen vastuk play for the U18s but none of others

Yep, same as T-C, with neither being able to even make it onto the bench of our U18 side with any regularity. The strength in depth of our academy this year is really quite impressive.

An English Reading player going out to Algard FK in the second division in Norway on trial according to this, any idea who or any idle speculation? Assume a youth player

Are we yet at the stage where those who aren't having their contracts renewed know?

Also, just thinking back to one of our former youth players, Trevor Mutero. He was one of those self promoting types who thought he should be playing for a top Premier League team, his agent being the guy who advises Tevez, Mascherano etc etc.... he joined us in 2006 and stayed with us for 5 years, he advised that he leave Reading after failing to agree an extension for a pro contract. Dubbed (by his agent?) as the new Peter Ndlovu...

He went on trial with Stoke and Sheff Wed then QPR, who signed him for four months, who released him. After that was due to join Bidvest Wits in the South African Premier League but they had filled their quota of foreign players so would have to wait until the next window, his agent also did come and get me plea to Kaiser Chiefs which was ignored...

He's now 20? Still not broken into the Zimbabwe national team, joined Greek Championship team AO Glyfada FC on a three year contract in August, and left in November. Since been trialling around, including with Go Ahead Eagles, who didn't take him on....

I just remember him being very very irritating on twitter.

I'm getting confused between the age groups. Which ones are the ones who Hector and Taylor comment8 on?

So, is that who Tanner and Kuhl play for?

I think they play for both U18 and U21, Kuhl certainly does.

Tanner is 19 so just U21's. Pepe's confusion is understandable given the significant cross-over between the two teams this year.

He really is a fantastic captain.

He played most of that game with a knackered knee and was limping quite heavily at times.

I had a laugh when he was gesturing to the ref to calm down after Owusu's edge of the box tackle
