Old Man Andrews Not so sure. Obviously he is an older gentlemen but I would imagine he is reasonably fit and active so he has that in his favour.

Oh yeah, I imagine he is probably fitter than your average 71 year old, but I can't see him being a health food advocate. File him under Steve Bruce and Big Sam for me.

Have you seen Bruce’s gut?

Looks better now, for sure, but there has got to be some lasting damage...

I loath Warnock and everything about him, but hope he makes a full recovery. Best outcome would be if it means he finally retires to his estate in the West Country (and no TV company give him air time as a pundit)

He is a very good pundit imo. Would be great on Sky's Championship coverage as a co-commentator. Certainly better than Don "I despise Reading" Goodman.

Ah yes, replacing a co-commentator who does seem to have a chip on his shoulder about Reading with one who has lost more games to Reading than any other club in his career! What can possibly go wrong!

Well at least he has a valid reason. I am not sure what Don Goodman's issue is.

He can work on Sky as I won’t have to watch him or listen to him. Odd that you rank him behind Goodman as an anti Reading person. Warnock has very specifically stated he dislikes us and even tells a highly implausible story of being attacke d outside the ground after a game.

He has lost one more game to Watford than to Reading but he's come up against them 3 more times.

We can of course correct that this season but our recent record against Boro is abysmal, currently on a 7 game losing streak.

Ah didn't know that, I knew my stat was correct at the end of last season but obviously that first game of the season defeat to Watford has tipped them ahead. Although I guess that does mean we have a better ratio than them :)

Testing positive doesn’t necessarily mean someone is actually ill.

Surprised Warnock didn’t just break the virus’ legs.

If you get the virus, even if you are asymptomatic, you may well be ill.

I had Covid, now have Long-Covid, can't exercise at all.

I look after two 17 year old asylum-seekers who LOVE their football

They almost certainly got it but were almost symptom-free

Last week a group of these boys were laughing at "my two" because when
they go for a kick-about, my two have to stop every 10-15 minutes because
they are "shot"

Last summer, every other day we played three hours with a drinks break half-way

For me that was after my ten-mile early-morning walk.

I think Long-Covid will be a massive problem over time. I started March 4th (first symptom) and there is no way I could work 40 hours, even as a clerk.

I am waiting for the first pro-footballer (or his club) to admit a player
can't play due to Long Covid. 15% of people surviving Covid are developing
Long-Covid. There must be some players seriously under par.

Can anyone think of any "missing" names?

I do wonder about Hudson-Odoi at Chelsea.

I recall he was someone who tested positive pretty early ( asymptomatic). I realise he's also had other off field issues but he really seems to have dropped off pretty dramatically this year.

I’m normally super fit for my age and it would now be IMPOSSIBLE for me to play foot, even for five minutes. As I said there must be at least SOME players. I guess we will find out eventually.

Yup! I couldn’t play chess now, the pieces are too heavy

Not TWO boys, about eight-nine plus two Italian waiters in their twenties.

Ignoring age, I was the weakest player on the pitch skills-wise by a street, but the 8-9 refugees run around without a clue about team play. If I ended up with Italians we could rip the rest a new one!

I was more than four times the kids’ ages!

Mind you, wasn’t screaming down the wings or anything. I played deep and just pinged balls to the wing. Could do that forever.

LOVED IT!

My son is an avid Chelsea fan and I suggested to him last year that Hudson-Odoi reminded me of Theo Walcott-loads of pace but no footballing brain.

If indeed he has suffered badly from covid (JMW warned us the other day that younger people who get it might have long term damage which takes some time to manifest itself) then I hope he recovers well and has a full life.

I get the impression that his footballing life may well be away from Chelsea.
