I`ve already said if the sale isn`t completed by the summer I`m not renewing. the mess coupled with more 12.30 KOs next season is enough.
We`ve not had a league 3pm KO since the middle of September, sick of it.

Same for me, season ticket since 2001 but these 12:30 KO's have ended that.
I'll just watch on Now TV and buy tickets for the few 3PM KO's that we get.

Out of interest, what is it about the early kick off you don't like?

Back in the day - I loved the couple of hours I'd have with my mates in the Nags before the bus took us to the game. But one by one they all 'got busy' and didn't have time for it - so I started driving up myself. Today a lunch time game would just mean I could get home and catch most of the 3pm kick offs.

I like to have a decent drink on a Friday night with my friends and a lie in on Sat morning then a good breakfast, I also like having a couple in the pub before getting on the bus.
It's just how I have always done football so 12:30 does not work for me at all.

But I bet you like the convenience of going to a supermarket (or shop) on Sunday. Or getting a pint anytime during the week includingf Sunday?

Coming from J9 on M25, 12:30 kickoffs are actually much better for me at the moment. Having to leave that bit earlier on a Saturday means that there is less traffic around the clusterfuck that is J10 until next summer.

12.30 means a pretty early train for me, so it's certainly not helping entice me back.

Attendance figures and season ticket renewals will give an indication of how well it's working.

I haven't been since september due to the 12:30 ko's and so renewing next season seems pointless given that I am already paying out to have the games available on TV.

Leon is right I'm probably not much of a RFC fan despite having a season ticket every season since 2001 except for the covid seasons.

Yeah the 12:30 kick offs are royally shit, if we have to respect the 3pm blackout, which forbids televising games on Saturday 14:25 to 17:25, what would be the more ideal time? Later obviously which would mean past 17:25 since anything beyond 12:30 would inevitably encroach upon that 14:25 mark unless they loosen the blackout rules somewhat.

when does nigel howe suspension end? on appeal the second part of the suspension was reduced to three months

Former Reading FC CEO Nigel Howe has won an appeal to have his FA ban from all football activity reduced.

Howe, who now operates as property manager at the club, was given a £5,000 fine and 12 month suspension in April 2024 for misconduct in relation to FA rules between 1 March 2019 and 16 July 2019.

The sanction saw Howe suspended from being involved in contract negotiations and transfer activity for the irst six months and he was due to be suspended from all football activity during the second six moths.

However, after an appeal to the FA, Howe has now had this ban reduced to three months.

the second one reduced to 3 months, which would take us to December. ?

So he could be back? or back very soon? is that going to speed things up?

Wouldn't work as per the blackout rules, you can't televise any football between 14:45 and 17:15

I've been out here 17yrs running a Canadian Saloon style bar in the Rockies 3pm kick offs are perfect for me, up at 7.15am shit, shower, shave quick brew and ready for the game. Game finishes at 10am time for a few hours relaxing and work at noon till late.

Now thanks to the greed infested people at Sky, we have the 12.30 kick off!! now i have to be up at 4.45am ready for the 5.30am kick off. This now makes for an extremely long and tiring day......thank you Sky

I live in Los Angeles with an eight hour difference so a 3pm kick off is 7am here, but having lived here for over twenty years you kinda get used to it, wake up 6.50 excited, full of hope, watch the first half in bed then at halftime get the morning coffee ready and by 8.45 (usually) deflated and unready to face the weekend. 12.30 kick offs!? Ask too much.

Same, another Southern California expat here. Early bird (and my wife is not at the weekend) so 7am on a Saturday is perfect. 4.30 not so much. Normally will get up for second half of those.
