Icke
Sanguine I enjoy fans losing perspective.

Keith Scott, anyone? No? Ok, I'll raise you Lloyd Owusu, and you can have Darius Henderson for free.

Is that Darius Henderson who regularly scored for us and still continues to bang them in at the same level we currently play in?

Anyone at London Road the day Henderson scored two cracking headers in the last minute would not class him in the same league as oxf*rd Owusu and Scott.

Well Owusu had a better record for Reading than Henderson did, so I'll let you make your own mind up.

Owusu was pretty toss though. He could barely kick the ball some matches. Did a job as a stop gap, mind.

One of my favorite moments watching Reading came at the Mad Stad. Can't remember when, or who against: The ball went out to the wing (Glen Little, I think). He crossed it into the box where Owusu rose and met it with a perfect header to score.

Can't be certain but from that description my fading memory and a quick scan through the half a doz. goals that Lloyd notched for us: sounds like H v Ipswich Jan '04 and it was reportedly the 'three-touch-goal':

Marcus -> Murray -> Owusu

...and if it wasn't knocked in front of the North Stand .... then I'm well adrift? :?

Ian Royal
Harpers So Solid Crew Would that be Karl Sheppard who has never played for RFc, is only 22, and is on loan at Shamrock, but still our player?

HOW DOES THAT MAKE HIM BAD FOR RFC IAN????

Is it because he's not been good enough to even get close to a squad for a league cup game and has been shipped off back to Ireland where we bought him from. In the grand scope of things, being a total waste of time, resources and money is fairly bad.

Or are you going to argue Cedric Baseya wasn't bad for RFC?

Karl Sheppard's loan spells would suggest he is not good enough but he was a victim of circumstance. Signed on a free when we were potless, get's injured and by the time he's fit again, TSI have rolled up and signed a Premier League forward on twenty grand a week who's walked straight into the team. Bit of a shit break for him, really.

memory loss - it will get us all eventually
cant remember who told me that

Personally i think he has done well to remember anything else about our Lloyd apart from his goal celebration, and of course the chant to go with crowd versions of the same

As we are going down memory lane I seem to remember Owusu getting a scrambled goal up at Elland Road.

If we are just outlining Owusu goals then he got one away at Palace.

Believe he scored against Sheffield Wednesday as well. Although he may have been playing for someone else.

Maybe he was actually playing for Sheffield Wednesday.

Lloyd's Reading goals from 11min on this video. The one I particularly remember is the diving header @ 13:00

Watching Mr Owusu celebrating the first goal with Andy Hughes reinforces just how far we have come

He came across as very humble on At Home with the Russians. I think he's a better person than you people give him credit for.
