Good work Ian although you can add Hoilett to the wide men options now. We look strong in that area.
Left back needs urgent addressing,

Left back needs urgent addressing,

Forgot / missed he news on Hoilett.

Still need at least two more CMs in my opinion, probably three, and as you say, left back. Two please.

No worries. This updated squad is a good way of doing things.
Been a positive week with a Hoilett re-signing along with Clarke and Ehib. Three weeks until the season starts so am now hopeful we will have a decent squad in place.

Surely Abrefa falls under the academy prospects category? Nit picking a bit though.

A couple more midfielders, a creative player preferably, as well as a left back or two and then a CF and we should have a decent enough looking squad for our opening game of the season.

Would move Ehibhatiomhan to attacking midfield. Think he does his best stuff in the hole.

I also think, given the number of wide players in the squad, Ejaria is going to be spending most of his time playing centrally.

Very much agreed about Ejaria playing centrally.,Time to take over from Swift.

Yeah I think Ejaria would be more effective centrally personally speaking. During his initial loan spell and his loan spell at Rangers, he was predominately used as a central player, be it in CM or in AM. He started off playing in wider positions for ourselves, before being moved more centrally and I think that's where we see the best out of him. Given we have some good options out wide now, I think we can utilise him a lot more in central areas now.

I'll move Ejaria when he starts playing central. So maybe tomorrow. Til then he's our first choice LW. Much to my distaste.

Abrefa I thought had a couple or three promising appearances at the end of last season, but whoscored doesn’t seem to list them.

He's a tenuous one, but I put him in first team because there was bugger all competition and I thought his appearances were fairly recent.

Will move Ehib.

I think some of you are being a bit hard on Ian here.
As fans we can surely discuss what we feel the club should be doing otherwise there is no topic and it is then just a case of saying "they know best, trust them to sort it".
That would be fine if the club over the past 4 or 5 seasons had taken a balanced approach to squad building when we have been overloaded in some areas but short in others.

From Ince's comments about not having enough midfielders it implies to me that he is not overly impressed with or prepared to trust Tetek and Camara yet as starters.

Didn’t realise Fornah was in our Academy for a while. Great that he'll already know a bunch of the lads like Holmes and McIntyre...

I haven’t seen any mention of Barnsley signing Cadden yet, unless I have missed it. I know Nixon was completely wrong about the Derby takeover so maybe he’s not always right. It will be good trying to identify all of the trialists tomorrow and seeing how we look against Benfica.

Nope not signed yet. Millwall favourites to sign Shackletion according to Leeds Live because they can afford to pay most of his wages but it may depend upon whether the player accepts a loan deal with a view to a permanent transfer so ts mot a done deal
We remain in the race

That’s good news. I am hoping someone was right on here about Cadden playing against Colchester last Saturday. I have looked at his stats and he looks like he could be another good signing.

According to The Tilehurst End they think Cadden did play last Saturday and that it might have been him that took the corner that led to one of the goals. It remains unclear but he certainly hasn’t signed for Barnsley yet.
