Readingfanman Any chance with the money they get they could replace the TV's in the concourse with widescreen ones so SSN actually fits on the screen? Might push the budget slightly however.

Haven't the football club already said they're replacing the concourse tellys?

I knew there were some mongs on the Team Board, but good God. 33 pages and counting over something not even being reported by German rags yet as a rumor. My guess? All the UK papers got their story from this forum and similar sources.

Personal favorites - the guy who said he'd "fly to Hoffenheim" (good luck, G) and the person who afforded the 2nd-placed team in the Bundesliga, the team who led the league at at Christmas 2008 (during their first season in the top division), who are one of the richest teams in Europe, the respect of "Hoffenheim or whatever they're called".

Now the main reason for me wanting this to not be true is so all the Madejski h7az are shown up. Again.

working class hero
If you read the report on the official Reading fc site, it says that STAR don't like these meetings to be reported on

STAR were asked by the Club to restrict their own reporting of fora - and to ask the fans to limit reporting..... so this is sophistry of the first water! And why STAR agreed to be censored is puzzling...

I was told that there is no public reporting of what is said so that the people involved can talk freely without censoring themselves.

Gr8. What would happen if 10,000 people decided to join STAR and attend one of these meetings I wonder?

They'd have to get a bigger hall?

He has all the ability to go on to be a very good player at a high level. Obviously he would command a fair price given his age and importance to the team. I believe he will stay for the season as he said; he has been with the club since he was a young teenager after all!

If (and that's a big 'if') he leaves, it will be due to the chairman being greedy.

I doubt Hoffenheim will have even heard of him to be honest; they're a nothing club who just happen to have found a sugardaddy.

yeah and to the bloke who thought it was terrible I called them "hoffenheim or whatever they're called" - I've honestly never heard of them and on top of that someone on here was calling them "Hoppenheim" so I wasn't entirely sure what their name was anyway.

Sigs could have stayed this season and, assuming he scored another 20+ goals, would have been at a top 6 prem club come the start of next season I reckon. Plus, more money for us.

Evening all. Just back from the races at Epsom, and see this thread.

To save me wading through 34 pages, would someone be so kind as to clarify something; has Gylfi signed for Hoffenheim?

A simple yes/no will suffice.

Thanks in advance.

Ah - ok; many thanks pea.

If thats the case, then why is this thread not on the rumours board, cos until it happens, surely it is merely a rumour?

Because, allegedly, it's a done deal - just waiting for the confirmation. But it should be on UR&G really.

Not terrible, just typical, laughable web forum ignorance - commenting on a story that you can't even be bothered to look into, even just by checking a Wikipedia page. You're in the distinct majority on here though, so I wouldn't worry too much.

They get called Hoppenheim on account of being the plaything of Dietmar Hopp. That's in their wiki article, too. Come join us in 'General Football' sometime, it can be quite educational.

Actually, scratch what I just said. Those two sentences contradict themselves so many times I can't even count that high.
