Love the way you take everything so literally and then run with it Ian. :D

Well, I mean you just don't have a point unless it's literal really.

Manager brings success and then leaves for bigger club after 2 or 3 years isn't really an issue is it.

Wouldn't read much into any betting markets these only a couple of pounds to shift a price in or out.

I wouldn't care if we hired Bergkamp and he fcuks off to a bigger club once he gets us to the PL. Pearson got Leicester to the PL (and was fired, as opposed to leaving on his own) and look where his replacement Ranieri has them sitting right now.

I can see a manager being mercenary in the very mercenary world of football. But that usually happens once you accomplish something of note. Clarke lost the plot on that (idiot), I am willing to let Bergkamp try to get that right...

people also often forget that bookies are not there to helpfully privide a list of candidates from most likely to least, they are there to offer value on a product to get you to part with your cash

Man Friday Media are saying Gary Bowyer!!! What's he done? Certainly didn't set the world alight at Blackburn.

Lee Bowyer would be better

Monk wouldn't be a bad appointment after he gets sacked this weekend.

I'd definitely take Monk, not sure he'd step down so quickly though.

Dave-Royal Bergkamp 8/1 we need a foreign coach ?

Prolly speaks better English than SC - there's a good chance that most of the team will understand what he's trying to tell them

Why would we want to snap up someone who's failing in their current job?

Apart from slowly deteriorating Swansea since he took over, can you both please explain why you would want Monk as next manager of RFC. Seeing as his record in management is really starting to resemble Clarke's, took over a good side and has them slowly on the slide.

Thanks.

Slowly deteriorating is very harsh, in fact it's not true. Took over from Laudrup with huge expectation and had a solid cup run in the Europa League before guiding Swansea to safety with ease.

Last season was Swansea's best finish in Premier League.

Sure, they've hit a bad run now but still sit a comfortable 4 points above the drop zone.

He's had the best part of two years experience managing in the Premier League, he has shown a decent nous in the transfer market, and is just the kind of motivator manager to get this team going.

It's a good fit.

Well because most managers have difficult spells, he did well with Swansea for a season and a half and I think it's extremely difficult for a club like them to compete effectively year in year out. I mean, you were pretty positive about Clarke for quite a while and he arguably achieved less with West Brom than Monk with Swansea.

And obviously he'd bring Gylfi with him.
