SPARTA You're right, of course no one would have felt unsettled by the threat of missing payments to HMRC, or paying the players, or unmotivated by lack of investment in both transfer windows.

The HMRC issue only came to light at the end of the season, did it not?

Demotivated by players not being brought in to potentially take their place, you mean?

Came to light to the general public, yes...

Tbh, there are plenty of opportunities for alternative employment for footballers at Championship level.

Probably, but maybe only when we can afford it?

Royal Rother Perhaps oddly, to me (football-wise) that's a more exciting option than the alternative.

Getting half a dozen new players in because we have the money would be perfectly fine, but (for me) not as good as seeing the youngsters given an opportunity to develop.

Not sure I agree tbh. Those who have a season ticket have paid £350-odd (can't remember the exact amount, I am not renewing for first time in 16 years) and would presumably want to see a competitive side with good young players being introduced as and when on merit, rather than as a a necessity.

Oh well absolutely, I completely understand that.

I am of course speaking from the position of my armchair and Stag Meadow.

There's a big difference, but I can only speak about my own perception.

So, York Road or Eynsham Park this season for you?

Have we ever bought an expensive player for this club ? who we could say he was worth it , Nearest was R.Blackman, in todays market worth 20-30 million, and R.FRIDAY the same.

:same disclaimer as last time - I have no reason to make this up:

From the same source as previously, I today heard that samrit is out of the picture. The real power broker here is Pairoj, he has brought another thai to the table (I believe its a lady in her late 70s) but she doesn't want to proceed without a partner.

Have heard a couple more bits but not sure if they're legit

Not commenting either way but once you start blaming lawyers for delays it smell like someone backing away whilst trying to save face.

It looks like we will have to take this coming season on the chin but then I thought that when I got my season ticket earlier in the year.

Bournemouth, Brentford and Brighton will be lording it up.

Spring is fantastic for so many lists, seasons, onions, spontaneous bodies of water, you name it, Spring covers it. Should be in there just for its versitility IMO.
