blythspartan I had to laugh as my wife's family all live in Gateshead and support Newcastle and are amazed that several hundred of us haven't marched along to the ground demanding answers. I just say it's not the Reading way.
If I didn't have a job I might join in for a bit of pointless and harmless fun. No point doing it in the evening - not even the Megastore is open then.
I guess it may be different in Newcastle.

And you'd be right, Mr Spartan.
It's hardly surprising that they've got the time to organise protest marches up there, because they lead such uncomplicated lives.
Finish their shifts at the mill/shipyard/pit, stagger home via the pub, then watch television.

They could barely comprehend our lives down here.
How on earth I could find the time to go on a protest march when daily, I have to give our nanny a lift home, pick Cressida up from her riding lessons, drop the wife off at the Bridge club, and on top of all this have to call in at Waitrose to pick up a decent bottle of Chablis to replace the bland mouthwash delivered earlier by Ocado.

A wise man once said to me JIM, when you have to ask who the idiot is in the room there's every chance it could be you.

He's dead now :(

ZacNaloen
Harpers So Solid Crew Last I heard nothing has been paid, first payment , a small ish figure, was never paid across.

As I said, I read somewhere it was placed in an escrow account. Like a deposit, we can't spend it until the rest of the payment is received.

IIRC the EP mentioned it.

Whatever, it's clear the tax bill has been paid and Vibrac are not kicking up so presumably some money is sloshing around....
