TBM tbh as long as we keep hold of Long, Hunt and Church then its not that big a blow.........wait until the summer and get him on a free

what happens if one of them gets injured?

Then we have the main man himself... Brett Williams :?

Don't know what the fuss is.

I'm 63 and I've got a metal knee and scored 1 in 2 last season.

I did only play 2 games and it was a tap-in...

Hoop Blah Oh well, not too fussed if we're not getting him.

You do have to chuckle at all the 'it's only a delay in the results' and comments about it's just waiting for Madejski to grab the limelight etc etc. Just goes to show how little people really know bar the odd individual, and I include Fordham in that.

The club only let people know what they want them to know...

There is certainly no point in us signing another potential crock, and especially one that might not be the ideal extra option for the squad (although I can see why McDermott might like the idea of his type player alongside Long).

On to the next one, lets just hope it's not just a non-league gamble signing.

Well it was just a delay in the results, they got the bad news at 1.30 last night

The Post understands that in a dramatic turn of events the club did a huge u-turn on the striker’s future at around 1.30am last night over what is understood to be a failed medical due to suspected knee problems.

Another comment from Pasoti, probably the most telling of them all:

Can't train on hard grounds and when the pitch is frozen. Has to drain the kneee cap after each match and has regular sillicone injections to lubricate the joint.

tomrfcurz Don't know why the don't offer him 'pay as you play' type contract where he won't get paid for long spells on the sidelines etc

Why would he take that when he's under contract on a decent wage already?

When he's available on a free he might well take such a deal, but as a player why would you take that risk?

EDIT: I see snowball's already made that point.

Zac, it's not just the delay though, everyone was saying all is ok blah blah, when actually they hadn't had the results so it was as cut and dried as it was made out.

I'm sure those in the know at the club felt it was as good as done too, my point was more that it wasn't and until it's signed up and i's dotted etc then there's still scope for it to go tits up. I might not've got that over in my post though, which admittedly was more lol'ing at those ITK.

muddyfeet its ok - we'll get Brett Williams instead :|

Did you feel that way when we signed Kevin Doyle?

Give any player coming in a fcuking break. At least 2 games before the slagging begins shurley.

Fordham says he's had it confirmed to him so i'm guessing the club. A deal should be complete within 24 hours apparently

I was mostly being sarcastic, as obv signing someone from Eastleigh is a bit different to signing someone from League 1 (top scorer). Would be great if the lad could step up

It doesn't include this season where he has a far better scoring record. It is on that website somewhere.....
