West Stand Man There is a fairly simple solution to this problem. The appeal is allowed, but the verdict stands until the appeal decides otherwise. Hence, if they are deducted x points and that puts them in the play offs that is what happens. If they win the appeal then the real issues will start - but at least this season will have been sorted.
This is a pretty well precedented route. If you are found guilty of murder and sentenced to life you don't appeal from the comfort of your own living room, the verdict stands until revoked and so you go to jail.

tink But here's a nice thought. Maybe some poetic justice to come out of this.
94/95 - the only team to ever finish second and not get automatically promoted to the 1st Div/PL.
10/11 - the only team to ever finish third and get automatically promoted to the 1st Div/PL???

DOYLERSAROYALER See the championship trophy was at cardiff today should results have gone QPRs way........how can you present a trophy and then take it away if an FA case decision says so...another example of the sniffiness thats going behind the scenes with their charge .....but also suggests that as expected, its a slap wrist..and the trophy will be open for public viewing at Loftus Road in the near future!

DOYLERSAROYALER RL - I think the vast majority of the media are on the same page as most that think this is going to result in very little punitive action being taken
Back in March when the charges were announced it made the press, the day after it was fish and chip paper and thats how it will stay imho

Tredder I think the key word to all this thread is
Desperate
Enjoy the play offs and hopefully we'll see you next season in the prem, how to make a story seem more attractive, spice it up with attention seeking headlines, if you seriously think the FA would deduct points one game before the end of the season, then even the FA are more facical than i give them credit for, most of this is lazy journalism.
If, IF, we are found guilty on any of the charges, then we will accept the consequences, but this will be a fine, we are not saying, ok chuck us a fine and we'll pay it.
It's teams like Reading and Cardiff that seem to be having a wank over this more than any other team, i presume, because neither wants to get dicked by Swansea.
Enjoy the play offs and hopefully we'll see you next season in the prem, 6 points again would be nice.

rhroyal The FA/FL won't just have to consider QPR and team in 3rd. I think teams in the play-offs won't be happy is QPR enter them; they're a cut above the rest of this division. I'd certainly not be happy if we ended up playing them at Wembley. Would the hearing consider the teams from 4th - 6th when looking at the penalty?

brendywendy its 35 pages, cos we hate you, hate colin, and would find it hilarious if the one time you managed to get yourselves together enough to go up, you cock it up due to the same financial iregularities that colin moaned about at sheffield united. would be literally the funniest thing ive ever seen in football. even funnier than cantonas kung fu kick.
its 35 pages because the tiny chance it has of coming true is enough to keep us chortling until the day of the verdict.
if it doesnt happen, meh, im sure well cope.
