Hoop Blah
ZacNaloen He doesn't need international clearance though so that shouldn't be a delay.

Why doesn't he?

I'd hazard a guess at free movement of people within the EU?

FridaysGhost Apparently, the negotiations have stalled (briefly) over two issues. He wanted it written in the contract that he could have carnal knowledge of any attractive RFC Femail fans. Both the ladies in question said yes but RFC do not think it is a contract issue. Secondly, his request to reside in a local pub whilst he found accomodation in the local area was not seen as a definate plus. Negotiations are ongoing.

Has he meet Annie Bassett before?

Well actually he will need international clearance, FIFA rules are such that you need international clearance from both FAs even if signing a player from Wales or Scotland! However, he won't need any sort of visa because he's from the EU which is what it's being mixed up with I think!

MonsterMunch, that's not international clearance. You're thinking of getting a work permit as someone coming in from outside the EU.

International clearance is a red tape exercise between FA's to prove the player is free to play, ie not banned etc.

Was thinking that this would be the best signing in the history of the Chump. But then a few sprang to mind.

Craig Bellamy, Yakubu, Darius Vassel, Kevin Nolan. Even Jason Roberts for us.

Are any of you staring at this thread waiting for something to happen? Are you going quietly mad like me? Is your wife threatening to leave you if you do not sign out in a minute?

Is this signing going to be another cock up? Hammond to reveal that we have signed a league 2 striker for 10p.

If we get this season wrong I think Hammond will get the chop next!

That was stressful. Be strong mate, we have survived the aforementioned date numerous times, this is a walk in the park in comparison.

I'm sure we're all happy to wait... just a few more hours.

Maybe we'll get a lucky 1am website 'accident', has happened before.

Anyone else think this has delayed because of the fact him and his agent have gone public with the deal?

You know how we like to keep all our transfer dealings a secret...
