scumbagElm Park Kid James Earnshaw and others on Twitter basically confriming what my 'well placed sauce' told me. This is different to last time - all the key elements have been agreed with all parties (including EFL). Just the normal legal processes and tyre kicking left. Barring any more 'unexpected' developments, will be done next month.
An expedite sale points to a Redwood/Couhig sale, does it not?

Sutekh So someone has agreed another bout of exclusivity and previous works and/or talks already held with various parties has led to certain expediencies already being completed. Could be someone already known to us or who has “gone before” with Dai or could be a totally new party.
While this is good to know and sounds hopeful, just would rather not hear another word until all is completed or Dai sinks another rescue boat.

MouldyRoyal Not wanting to be cynical, but I can see little in this announcement that makes me think it will be any more likely than the last 2 exclusivities.

Fox Talbot ah, for once it's gonna break our way. It's not Couhig, it's someone else ... with the means to invest, next season when we're back in the Champ, after a play-0ff victory at last. We'll get Chris Wilder back interested and on board and soon we'll be back in the Prem where we belong. Hopefully.

Snowflake Royal Well the words are the most encouraging they've been, but they're still only words, so reserving judgement. Especially without knowing who it is.
But if Dai likes them, and he's going to actually sell, it's probably because they're trouble.

This - despite my better judgement the tone of the wording has got me slightly excited that this crapshow may finally be over, or at least about to be replaced by another one.
Won't truly believe it until its done but the most positive things have felt in years.
I wonder if it is someone who has been sniffing around for a while, has seen the fixture list we have left and thinks that the boost a new owner would give now, could see us grab a play-off place and have the possiblity of starting the full rebuild at a higher level.

Also a feeling it's now or never. If it's not this time, we go into the summer with 5 players and the Smith money running out.
Dai has to sell this time or the hope is over for everyone, including him.

Yeah, you’d think only having 5 players under contract in the summer and the club being under an embargo due to non submission of accounts has forced the sale. However, this is Dai after all.

Crusader Royal Hard to see it being anyone other than Couhig.
He had a deal in place which only fell apart at the very last minute and it was Dai that killed it, not Couhig
He’s stayed around while others appear to have gone away once out of the picture
As a previous owner he’s got a track record with the FL and probably a tick exercise to get their approval
Work he did on the deal is unlikely to be made available to other buyers meaning he’s probably the only one able to complete the ‘quick’ sale
His legal challenge to Dai gives him added leverage

The embargo doesn’t stop us signing players in the summer though does it ? It didn’t stop us signing them in January.
