Pepe the Horseman http://www1.skysports.com/football/news/11673/9385250/a-thai-consortium-has-completed-a-deal-to-buy-championship-club-reading

Sky Sources have confirmed that Samrit Bunditkitsada's takeover at Reading FC has been completed with the sale and purchase order being signed.

The 39-year-old's Thai consortium has struck a deal to buy a 90 per cent stake in the club - according to sources.

The deal - which still needs go through the Football League's Owner and Director test – was reportedly in doubt due to legal costs.

It was claimed that offshore lending company Vibrac, who are effectively running the club, were demanding their legal fees were paid.

However, a deal was thrashed out at a board meeting on Thursday morning at the Madejski Stadium.

I am guessing that someone at Sky has been reading Charlie Watts' Twitter feed. Have to love the fact that any story they lift is labelled 'Sky Sports Sources'.

UpThePrem Unless he's already in the country the flight from Bangkok doesn't arrive until 5:57pm

Then he's gotta get his bags, have a piss, and wait for a taxi..

Unless he is flying Thai Airways TG 916, still scheduled to land at 19:02 T3.

Then he still got to get his bags, have a piss etc. so add a couple of hours before his arrival at the Mad Stad.

Both wrong.

Everyone knows you have a piss BEFORE getting your bags* so that you don't have to leave them unattended outside the bogs.

*only applies if you're on your own - otherwise you send the missus to jostle for position at the front of the conveyor belt before returning to tag team her out so that she can go for a piss.

Now Nigel go and buy because if the FL reject it, court of sport arbitration will over turn the decision as normal.

Extended-Phenotype JM was chairman during the Anton era

HTH

Which means precisely nothing. Plenty of company chairmen are just figureheads, or names to stick in brochures. He didn't run the club day to day before he sold it, can't see why on earth anyone would think he did after.

Hats off to Charles Watts for consistently calling it right throughout.

It is good to have a reliable pundit who is actually ITK.

Hats off to Daveroyal, too, for all his contributions to this bumper thread and its sister, confimred.

But Charlie told everyone to hold on to their hats earlier.

Why do we take them off now?

Who do we trust?

I'm keeping my hat held

I think you'll find that the terminally over-exposed Mr Beckham belongs to Qatar these days not Thailand.

It's probably just a coincidence but, apparently, his outspoken opposition to Qatar being given the 2022 WC has disappeared since a) he signed for one last pay day to Qatari funded PSG and b) Qatari money was promised to fund his Miami project.

Still can't get excited about it, only relieved. Lets see where we are financially in 24 months.
