Sky Sources have confirmed that Samrit Bunditkitsada's takeover at Reading FC has been completed with the sale and purchase order being signed.

The 39-year-old's Thai consortium has struck a deal to buy a 90 per cent stake in the club - according to sources.

The deal - which still needs go through the Football League's Owner and Director test – was reportedly in doubt due to legal costs.

It was claimed that offshore lending company Vibrac, who are effectively running the club, were demanding their legal fees were paid.

However, a deal was thrashed out at a board meeting on Thursday morning at the Madejski Stadium.

I am guessing that someone at Sky has been reading Charlie Watts' Twitter feed. Have to love the fact that any story they lift is labelled 'Sky Sports Sources'.
