Oof :!:

Family are all good and the house is coming along nicely, thanks JIM. Still got quite a few bits to do, but getting there slowly.

Find it hard to read some of the drivel on here so haven't checked last few pages of "he said, she said" waffle.
Samrit, on his facebook page has confirmed take over.

Maybe not, but he had the ability and probably even a duty to resign as Chairman if he strongly disagreed with the shots that were being called. His public silence and continued tenure could be taken as tacit approval.

He had no such "duty".

Except in your strange world.

Suggest you check what the duties of a chairman and other directors are then. And if you still don't accept that he had a business duty, he certainly had a duty based on his so often espoused principles of sound business and financial management. To just sit back and let the club get to the point where they had to sell a decent player on the cheap, in order to meet a debt to HMRC is, in my mind (strange as you might think) just downright hypocritical. Still you lot just keep trying to convince yourselves that Madejski can do no wrong, despite the increasing amount of evidence that suggests otherwise.

But it wasn't just a job to him, he still owned 49% of the club and still cared about it. If he just quit he would have had even less say over it's running than he already had. Also why would he speak out and start a media war? Then would have helped no one.

We all know you can't stand him and will look for anything you can to criticise him with and yes there are others think he does no wrong. The majority however, like myself, can look at his time at the club and see the good and the bad.

FridaysGhost Sir J Maj was a one-hit-wonder on the business front and used that money to become a football magnate. This should have made him use ALL of his resources to turn RFC into a brilliant Premiership club. It did not. He tried to rebuild his business empire ( did'nt work) and hope that Reading would somehow flourish without guidance.

As everything went pear-shaped he tried to sell the club and was conned by Anton, the Russian con-artiste! Left with a losing hand, our so-called Saviour allowed the Cl;ub to get into debt to a Wonga-like organisation.

Am I wrong in thinking that, throughout all of this time, we were told that JM was in charge and, EVEN STUPIDER, that the Reading way of not being in debt was uppermost!

I have grave doubts about the takeover but, it cannot be worse than the above!

I've been trying to come up with some witty, body of water based comment but unfortunately can only come up with 'twat' - sorry

You'll all no doubt be pleased to hear that me and Samrit are now officially 'friends'.
With that, the takeover is complete.

I've had a couple of tours of treatment works. It's really amazing what they do with a real minimum of adding chemicals. And the smell is surprisingly fine across most of the works. Some moving parts, some grills, long channels a few tanks, some pebbles and lots of water and its largely job done.

It's worth an hour of your time if you get the chance. Although I am a water geek, so I would say that.

I find it interesting that all this is going on whilst Gaza is being attacked.

I reckon Hamas might have something to do with all this.

Not sure what but there must be something to it.

Imagine there will be a presser but not until after the owner test is complete. Club might make a short statement before that though.

Main interest for me now is to find out exactly who is in the consortium which will presumably be made clear at some point.
