Wellens scored a cracking goal but my man of the match was Basil Tuma. He played centre forward and seems to have bulked up but he still has pace to burn. I upset coach Peter Scott when i suggested in a loud voice that our set pieces are cr@p as another corner flew yards over our attackers heads.

Was just thinking where he was and how divergent his path has been compared to Craig, who iirc arrived at much the same.time in similar circumstances.

John Clarke? Just been a bad injury I think - was it a knee? Never got much info on it

Taken a long time to recover. I liked him before that, hopefully he’ll be able to get back to that level. Top attitude and some talent

U 21’s back in action today with a PL Cup group B match away to Blackburn Rovers KO 12pm- weather permitting. The match is being played at the Lancashire FA headquarters ground in leyland.

New date same ground Wednesday January 10th KO 7pm

Reading U 21’s are playing a PL 2 match against Chelsea U 21’s away at the end of next month- Friday January 26th. KO is 7pm and the match is at Kingsmeadow stadium Kingston upon Thames. Tickets go on sale from Chelsea at the end of this week. £7 for adults £5 for Seniors and Juniors.
