maffff They don't even feature in the top 50 thais. (neither does Samrit).

And that goes down to $305m.

http://www.forbes.com/thailand-billiona ... ab:overall

Is there actually any money in this consortium?

Given that each will only end up owning 20% then if all 4 have say $250m each then it will technically be the same as having one owner with $1bn of wealth.

Besides, having billions really isn't that important a criteria for a club like ours that looks to run itself as a functioning business. We just need owners willing to provide the odd bit of investment where necessary to push us forward. Tbh, because of FFP, anything else would not be feasible anyway.

So the Daughter (Taya) of our Thai owner (Sasima) is President of Bangkok Football Club - who play in the Thai first division, and also deputy Governor of Bangkok, responsible for amongst other things, tourism.

Next years pre- season tour is pretty much nailed on then..

The important thing is not to get another owner like Anton who is too ambitious and pushes the club into places where it could not afford to be, hence leaving us with a financial shit storm when his money stopped coming in.

From what we've been told, this buyout will be clearing the club's debts...which is actually a massive deal, especially when you consider that we still have another 3 years of parachute payments to give us a decent financial advantage over most of the league.

Yeah, everyone was waiting excitedly to hear Bundy couldn't afford us on his own and that SJM has opted to carve the club up between him, an old woman and two anonymous parties.

Hooray.

The ORIGINAL deal was to clear the debt. That was before Mi Wi Lee King and two complete unknowns decided to crash the party.

With Bunds as the majority stake holder. As the report says, along with that, things have changed.

I have to agree with Winch, it's no longer feasible to be owned by a Bill Gates who can literally spunk money as you just get burnt for it by Fair Play - it's best to have wealthy enough (which they seem to be far more than!) owners who, should things go south for awhile, can afford to bail you out here and there, steadying the ship. Gone are the days of new owners waltzing in, buying an entire new squad, and shooting up the leagues. I'm just happy to hopefully have stability, rather than worrying how much they're worth (after a certain point!)

Not sure what that's got to do with anything.

I remember when JM first appeared on the scene, and everyone said ...who?

And the rest is history

Christ this saga is fackin' boring. The takeover will be finalised 10 minutes after the transfer deadline.

Well at least the fecking Thai`s are releasing statements , unlike the deafening silence coming from our joke of a club. christ though we may have a 76 year old coming on board. no malice meant but the chances of her leaving in the not too distant future must be quite high.

I still prefer to be owned by a Thai GILF than US venture capitalist asset strippers...
