Ian Royal
AthleticoSpizz was there any need for that Ian?

He owns a sex shop iirc, so it has a certain relevance.

Is there an HNA discount?

Massive +1 TSW. Couldn't agree more. Sadly a little bit of form has him massively overhyped.

Agreed on Le Fondre. His goals have been invauable since he signed but his alround game, although better than I was expecting when we signed him, just isn't up to the level.

He can hold the ball up well, and his movement is excellent at times, but I've made the point all season that he makes too many wrong decisions at crucial times and wastes good opportunities too often.

Give him a chance in the box and he's lethal though. He's the ideal super-sub for a decent team who might want to throw him on to grab a late goal though so I could see some interest in him over the summer.

As for Pearce, I'm not sure McDermott leaving will have too much bearing on his future unless the new manager forces the club to give him more because he wants to build his new side with him as a cornerstone of the all important spine of the team.

Did you see Pearce lump it into the stands in the 2nd half on Saturday and then blame everyone but himself ?
He is simply terrible.

How does one... blame themselves (visibly)?

Good defender but he does tend to hit the ball long quite a lot. If we are to turn into the new Swansea as you lot want he's going to have to learn to pass the ball to his CB partner and the Keeper for half an hour otherwise we should just let him leave.

He heads it long too quite a bit, usually right in to the opposition midfield. Can't make up my mind whether his headers should be better directed, or our midfield sorting out their own positioning.
