Surely the players have lost the fans, expensive salaries, yet we are playing worse than at almost any time this millennium.

We have the highest wages in our history, and ticket prices at this level, yet the return is the poorest.

Specifically in relation to one aspect of performance and as a counterpoint to consider to the overused mindless complaint that Adkins has lost them.

Hoop see.s the only person capable of understanding so far. I may be doing one or two others a disservice there. Not you though apparently.

I'd say most of Adkins' tenure has been somewhat soulless and underwhelming. Under McDermott we were always competing at the top end of the Championship. McDermott was supposedly sacked on the - naïve and idealistic? - belief that it would allow us to bring in a superior manager and a superior style of play. This hasn't materialised at all for the club and 'chasing the dream' seems to have backfired spectacularly. More and more, I think the sacking of McDermott was the worst decision the club has made in recent times - the decline has been quite alarming.

Of course there have been ownership problems which have also contributed to the general vibe around the club I think. But even so I'd expect the manager to do better with the squad available and I think there's something more missing than simply results.

We probably won't get relegated but if things stay as they are until the end of the season then I can't see too much improving sadly.

I've now officially lost the faith. I want Eamon Dolan to take over and the Brentesque pseudo-management speak about KPIs and togetherness to take a hike...there's is a big difference between deluded self confidence and high performance. We've been taken for a ride for long enough....

Needs to go, sadly I've got no confidence in whoever's in charge making a decision.

I wasn't aware NA ever had a fan club.

Looking forward to you coming out with something constructive (or at least some constructive criticism) instead of your usual sarcastic one or two word sniping comments across the board .

I didn't renew my season ticket this season

First time in 15 years

First time in over 25 years I've been to just 2 games before Xmas

Why, because I refuse to watch this awful football. This infatuation with possession. Fine if you are barca or bayern Munich psg if you have world class players but we haven't we have players whom are scared of the ball and can't pass or are easily disposesed

teams just sit back and wait for r fc to make a mistake

I'll come back when this clown goes

Absolute, part reason why I didn't renew this season. We should gave kept mcdermot. He new how yo get the best from thus bunch of players, he had passion, his players gave 100%. His team in nearly every game finished strongest. A skins and his team have been opposite

A done has done one good thing. He has improved our possession stats. Well done, that'll win us trophies, not

Bring back mcdermot or maybe parky or at least someone who shows more passion than a skeleton.

Why does he not play the same side. Please don't insult our intelligence to say we fans don't understand the tactics of the game. It's football not chess

Good possession stats today, and we were a bit unlucky that they seemed to score every time they had a shot. Adkins is so close to getting it right it would be a travesty to go back to a more primitive style of football by getting somebody new and crap in.

Spizz,

Sorry, got to disagree with both those observations.

I can't be arsed to look back through the various threads but I remember well being told how much the football was going to improve once we got rid of the "hoof merchant" McDermott who wasn't able to take us on to the next level.

Lolz.

Yeah, yeah, Nige was going to bring flowing football and a game more suitable to progression and sustainability when we got back to the Premier League. Something that Brian was clearly not capable of. Quite a few CM Managers on here extolling Adkins virtues and conveniently forgetting everything McDermott did. Funnily enough, some of them have even forgotten that they were calling McDermott's team shite and are now doing the same for Adkins team.

I've nothing against Adkins, just can't personally warm to him. Reading FC pretty much lost all my respect when they sacked Brian. Still a season ticket holder but I'm going to be in the pub next week rather than at the game.

More importantly, SF'ers is without doubt, both balanced and fookin hilarious.
