Ian Royal Decent point, that feels disappointing because of the number of chances we've had. Preston seem to have finished more likely to score in the last few minutes.

Pearce seems to have had a good game and could have scored on a few occasions.

I don't think we're quite good enough this season. We'll flirt with the play offs and just miss them IMO because we seem to struggle to put a string of wins together.

But then we aren't losing much, which is a very good start point to build from. It won't take much to tip us either way. But we certainly should stay up.

I have a sneaky feeling we'll get a couple of good loans and a signing or two at Xmas and drive on like we did last year , except it won't be from the bottom 3 but 6th or 7th..... I think we've got a real good chance :D

We have spme very average forwards though. This is a very good away point. Long term, goals are still a concern for me.

Time for a QPR 106 Watch. They remind me of our 106 season - always doing enough to win.

I said this last week. And just like our 106 team, they are making me a lot of money!

Good point. A VERY good point. An inch is better than a mile in the wrong direction.

Whereas we seem to be doing enough to keep up with the pack... but that's OK with me.

I'm sure Sunderland supporters were saying just the same about us. I do agree though.

It's weird saying this but two good matches for Pearce while Kish and Mills have struggled. Seems like Kish was at fault for NE's goal today while Alex almost scored and did well at the back.

Overall a shame not to take advantage of the extra man but I'll take the point.

Not having been to the game it sounded like we didn't have the firepower to take advantage when we were on top but it couldn't be that otherwise we would have gone out and got an attacking player on loan. I must have interpreted the game wrongly. That's typical me because I drew the same conclusion from the Millwall game.

I suspect you're right. But they are three points ahead of where we were after 10 games, with a better goal difference.

(Behind where Sheffield Utd were, I admit...)

Win our home games, draw our away games. That's promotion form. 9 times out of 10 I'd take a point away from home.

It's strange, because we certainly do seem like a team lacking in goalscoring fire power. Yet we've failed to score in only one game out of 12. We're creating chances, we'll keep going to the death and we're clearly capable of putting away three in a game, which you'll rarely need more than to win.

The positive thing about our scoring is that it is being fairly well shared out... so if Long, Church, Hunt or someone new can start making a bid for 15+ goals this season and play regularly, then it seems it's problem solved.

Don't rule out Taffy Kanu, I wouldn't be surprised to see him start putting a few away soon.
