twas hoping for Crawley...do not like Steve Evans much

The last time (and the only time) I saw Reading play Crawley, we won 7-1 (Boris Mihalov had just been signed following his World Cup heroics, and was looking very bemused in the old EP stand)

Chelsea have a game on the 26th [Birmingham or something], not that it can't be moved of course.

tomrfcurz I can't see it being the 26th folks. Gives the clubs 7 days to agree prices with the winner of the replay and start selling 40,000 odd tickets

Exactly my thoughts.

Probably just found out that he'd have to pay tax.*

Will make sense if you know Gooding's story about the contract negotiations

They should earn about £1m, great footy moment for them.

Crawley really disappointed me with their attitude, horrendous. And Steve Evans "We can beat Man U" fcuk off. Double figures methinks.

They're the last club that the vast majority of non-league supporters would wish that kind of good fourtune onto. Almost universally hated in non-league cirlces.

During the playoffs the clubs have more than 7 days to sell tickets do they not?

They'll no doubt pre-plan and get tickets available from both clubs, and start selling the day after the replay.

It shouldn't be that difficult. If chelsea know that the 5th round game will be at home on the 26 Feb, then they get all the logistics in place now, notify the fans so the fans know when the tickets go on sale, release the tickets the day after the replay, if fans are too stupid to be able to buy a ticket within a 7 day window then that's their bad luck, it's not exactly rocket science.

I can understand the logistics of actually sending out 40,000 paper tickets in a week might be a bit of a push, but you can do post for a couple of days, and anything after that it's box office collection on match day (arrive early!)

Or am i over-simplifying things?

It would be hard to stagger ticket sales within a 7 day period but I suppose with a larger ticket allocation this wouldn't be a problem. But would be difficult to get them all sent out

Not when semi finals start around six days after the league finishes. I will LOL at you all if it's Everton seeing as you all seem to think Chelsea are certain to win, nice midweek trip free of day trippers gets a thumbs up from me!

I don't think I could be any more underwhelmed by this draw.

It is possibly the most :| draw we could have had.

I dunno. Chelsea get the chance to play one of their main rivals.
