I was delighted to see Kebe go fecking mental when he scored yesterday. He often seems nonplussed by a lot that goes on on the pitch for Reading, but he loved it yesterday.

Great to see.

At that point of the game the nervous tension was almost unbearable for both players and fans, everyone went fecking mental and even more so when the fourth went in. Leigertwood was the calmest in the whole ground, just retrieving Kebe's tossed away shirt.
As everyone is pointing out, there felt a huge bond between players and fans yesterday.

Still literally on a high after that game. Such a good day for so many reasons. One of the highlights was definatly Kebe celebration, love cying how much it means to the players. Like said, a great bond between everyone yesterday. So nice to let out lots of fustration that has built up this season.

Well I've calmed down a bit but still on a high from a top day out. Cracking prematch pints at the Trip and the canal boat, a wonderfully sunny day to be followed by a rollercoaster of a match that had everything.

From the wild celebrations of the goals to the lows of the dubious penalty decisions, the whole match had everything you love about football. Everyone put a shift in but Harte, Karacan and Legs were outstanding.

At the end, nobody left. We all hung around to wait for the team to come over and applaud the fans. You could see how much this win meant to the whole team.

One final lol at Mark Clement trying to interview McD.

Karacan has got to be one of our most improved players this season, and i was saying that before yesterday

Still buzzing from yesterday, I think it's one of those "I was there" games! Let's not forget that was only their second home loss this season! If we hadn't won that game it would have been an absolute travesty.

As alluded to already the togetherness between the team, and between the fans and the team is extradordinary at the moment. We sang "If Longy scores, we're on the pitch" when he was stepping up for his penalty, it's probably a good job he missed!

Dare I say, I think we've guaranteed a playoff spot now, what we do need to do is push on and give everything for 2nd place!! :D

HAPPY CHAPPY!

Ha! You were right next to me at that point... I had to shake that stewards hand after that. Don't think he enjoyed his day in the office.

I was a bit higher up where my seat was, but got caught up in the surge when we scored the 4th!! I bet that steward woke up yesterday morning and thought "Aaaahh, a nice enjoyable game, surely Reading can't cause me any trouble?!"

I was chatting to another of the stewards before the game and he was a nice bloke, clearly gutted when they lost though!

Well, that was alright wasn't it.

I thought we were flat against Preston and hardly inspiring against Pompey but we ground out two fine results. Yesterday we were sensational, we ran Forest ragged at times and they were visibly scared of us throughout. I genuinely think that 442 was the right move by McD (easy to say that in hindsight I guess) because Manset gave the Forest defence a chasing and his sheer physical presence must have ground them down into submission. Wasn't Long's best game but he also stretched them all over the park. Leigertwood imperious again, Zurab Khizanishvili you are the love of my life - rolls royce centre half.

Terrific goals: Harte's freekick was stunning, Karacan's header was remniscent of Bryn's famous headed equaliser at Old Trafford. We then scored again as a result of a corner with Kebe finishing smartly and instinctively as you can see in Ben's sensational video. The winner which was so richly deserved came from Karcan's cross, another top drawer performance from this young man who has come on leaps and bounds in recent months alongside Leigertwood. Two Forest pens seemed nailed on to me; Harte failed to react at a throw in and the Forest man spun Leigertwood, the second pen was naive defending from HRK who seemed to throw and arm across his man. So even with two penalties generously donated to your cause and another one awarded to us wasted we still beat you 4-1, Mr Davies you little scotch ****.

Fun times. Not making the mistake of looking too far ahead, but this is really starting to feel like the run-in at the end of 94/95 when we hit form at the right time and the belief throughout the club - players, management, fans - was immense. That season we snatched second place - if we repeat that trick again this season then Brian should be given the Freedom of the Town.

Floyd - you looking to be engaging the old bill in deep conversation at half time.

We only decided to go at the very last minute and it was quite possibly one of the best decisions I've ever made. Great atmosphere from both sets of supporters and an all round decent performance. As many have said on here already, we need to sign Leigertwood as he's such a solid midfielder who will win you games simply by making difficult challenges in the centre of the park and creating a breakaway. I think the whole side have improved so much over the season and it's clearly making a difference as everyone knows their role and what each of the other players is capable of doing. The spirit clearly is there and hopefully that will take us to 2nd spot by the end of the season!

Top top top day.

On the game: some great performances - Manset did well but Karacan, Ledge, Khiz and Harte get the plaudits from me.
I have seen all the highlights now and both pens look a little soft to me - but who cares.

Loved Kebe's celebration, loved the passion from McAnuff and Harte. The former was one of the few players that didn't have a good game.

Perfect away day though - sunshine, good ground, good pub, good people, amazing game and amazing result.

I have just awarded Brian McDermott the freedom of my clapham flatshare.

Erm nope actually, you missed me delibrately stepping on the speccy steward's foot as I went for a piss at half time so the point was made 8) . I also had a chat with the old bill at half time who were very much  about the officious stewarding.
