I thought we looked a lot better going forward today, compared to recent home games. We actually played some decent football too I thought, some good little moves and less hoof ball today. Legs and Jem dominated the midfield very well, Kebe was looking back to himself in the second half too.

Feck off West Ham.

I'm hoping for a showboat for Jimmy, and a taxi for CoLOLLOLison.

Corporate today, with eight hammers.

Belter.

Man Friday
finbarr Reminded me of a moment in mid 70's when we beat Swindon 4 -1 at Elm Park. On one run John Murray stopped and sat on the ball before resuming his run. I cannot recall anyone trying to break his legs for doing it.

The same match that was recorded on cassette tape and sold in the "club shop" a few weeks later? Hilarious. I've still got it.

Allardyce is a complete nob, no one takes him seriously. In regards to today we usually beat west ham...if not thump them at the Madejski so its expected, not sure why he thinks we'd be overly excited by it?

Disagree that West Ham are/were a bad side.

Thought their defence looked solid for 60 minutes.

Will be very shocked if they don't get automatic promotion. Think they will be champions.

That's why I think our players deserve good marks.

A lot of top teams this season seem to be reserving their worst performances for us. Both the top 2 now. Definitely not a coincidence.

Did they have a bad game or did Reading stop them in crucial areas from playing the way they want to play? bit of both? or were they just shite?

Claridge is a real prick. Good to see some expert analysis on the BBC

I've always thought that touching your sock is disrespectful and no English player would ever do that as we're full of Bulldog spirit.

TBH I think this is a really poor league this year. We have played all of the top teams at home so far and all of them have been distinctly average. The Championship is all about consistency and a few wins in a row makes all the difference. We are as good as the best of them and get a run going after Christmas and we will be right up there.

If Rooney or the new golden boy Jones had done it, they'll all be w*nking themselves silly in appreciation.

Federici - 7 - nowt to do
Cummings - 7 - played the ball well, got the assist for Collison's red card
Gorkss - 8 - dealt well with Piquionne then Cole/Carew
Pearce - 9 - same as above, gets an extra point for the goal and strange celebration
Harte - 8 - coped well, was noticeable early on that they were trying to get in behind him. 1 assist, another goal from his corner
Kebe - 8 - flashes of brilliance, and "that incident"
Leigertwood - 8 - ran the show
Karacan - 7 - busy as usual
McAnuff - 7 - beat his man for the sending off, great assist for Pearce, not much else though
Hunt - 6 - fluffed a great one-on-one
Le Fondre - 9 - deserved a goal, some excellent build-up play, neat flicks and an incredible chip for Church's goal

Church - 8 - hard to fault him, he could have had 4 (stumbled when one-on-one, shot wide inside the box), let's hope this is his moment to kick on
HRK - one tame shot and that was about it

I'm a little dissapointed, missed the game today so was very excited watching the highlights to see what Jimmys showboating was all about.

And he touched his socks.

Does that guy actually make contact with McAnuff for the sending off?
