I've listened to it whilst watching the game being played at the Mad Stad and he only talks about other stuff when there is a break in play or nothing interesting is going on during the game.

Find a way of listening to the commentary the next time you go to a match Ian. I know that's a rare occasion for you  .

I've listened to it whilst watching the full match on RP. You are wrong.

There's no way on earth I'm going through the pain of listening to Dellor if I'm actually at the game.

I like Dellor.

I love his passion, and his goal commentary is hilarious!

WE ARE WEMBERLY!

Living here out in Taiwan I have to listen to the radio commentary to follow the games.
But I have to say I'd choose the passion of Tim Dellor over Reading 107 anyday.
He may not be the most informed and he does make idiotic comments, but it's funny!
You can tell what Mick Gooding is thinking because there is often a pause before he replies to yet another inane comment....."Now keep your calm Mick, just answer his question politely and we'll be fine"
All in all very entertaining.

Horses for courses then, I guess.

Although it seems in this case the horses who dislike Dellor need shooting and turned into glue.

Joyless beasts.

I really don't get the sh*t being hurled at Adie Williams.

As a former professional footballer, he makes a much better fist of studio anchorman than Grade "A" public school twat Dellor does of football commentator.

For the latter to have any future at Radio Berks surely he should swap jobs with our former captain.

There are plenty of issues on which I disagree with Gooding and/or Williams (not least their opinions on "respect for fellow professionals" regarding the Kebe Sockgate Affair :|) but if RB can't supply/afford a professional commentator worthy of the job description (and I had no problems with Hufford) I'd much prefer 2 RFC former pros in the hot seats than this ill informed baffoon.

I agree with all that others have said regarding him putting his cringe worthy views on team selection to Brian McDerrmott, his laughable belief that the 4th official is in charge of time added on and, most of all, his childish obsessions with certain players like Ian Harte.

Radio Berkshire, we and you deserve better than Tim Dellor.

That's what the Jews thought about Jesus. Now I'm not saying Tim Dellor is Jesus, but the spice rack in kitchen is homemade and he eats a lot of fish.

Do you go round for dinner regularly? Is it always on Fridays? That could explain the fish, but the homemade spicerack seems a decisive hint...

Like many Grade "A" twats Dellor clearly believes he can walk on water.

I'm not wrong Ian. From listening to him a few times at the ground that he only talks about other stuff when the ball is out of play, there's an injury or the game is flat. You just don't like it because it doesn't suit your agenda and if you're not prepared to watch or hear the same evidence for your self outside of edited material then you can't prove otherwise.

I don't understand why people are supporting TD : "because he's a fan...."

If I wanted to listen to what is basically one person's opinion when there are the best part of 20,000 there each week who could do the same kind of job.

What I want from a commentator is actual, factual information - I don't think that's too much to expect from someone whose full-time job is to get this and who has privileged access to the club and players, etc). But instead so much of it is just opinion - and ill-informed opinion at that.

Absolutely correct - and that's exactly the point. Most of the clowns on here don't have a platform to broadcast their opinions to others - others who are likely to believe that those opinions come from a professional football expert, rather than a cricket coach with a microphone in his hand.
