People should STFU about Guthrie too. By the sound of things, it's his own fault he wasn't involved tonight.

Royal91 Fine you've added on 2 mins more than you should of. Why I don't know, the is REF IS A oxf*rd.

More annoyingly though

koscielny should have been sent off twice.

Face it, extra-time with 10 men having played 90mins, is a lot more difficult than 11. koscielny started the attack for the 6th goal as well.

But these are excuses, sorry McDermott but as much as I like you, you're tactically inept and should go.

At 4-2 Guthrie who should of been at least on the bench, should have come on and slowed the tempo.

Federici is SHIT

I can see why QPR got rid of Gorkss he is simply woeful and has been in every single game!

why shouldn't the ref add on 2 more minutes ? the key word that people seem to fail to understand is that the extra time is a minimum of - not maximum that means the ref is entitled to add on anything from 4 minutes upwards.

Only if there is a reason to do so and I didn't see many of those. Funny how he blew for full-time the moment they equalised and we took kickoff. Seems to me he was determined to let that goalmouth scramble finish one way or other, rather than blow his whistle.

I don't care if the keeper is Adam Federici, Alex McCarthy or Iker flammin' Casillas when the defence in front of you play that badly as a keeper you're going to concede goals.

One could argue that If it wasn't for Federici it could have been 10 or 12.

Tamworth_Royal Reading are the first ever team in the either the League Cup or FA Cup to score five goals and lose the game.

We scored 5 and lost, we scored 5 and loooost we've got the record, we scored 5 and lost.

This is definitely the most high profile humiliation we've ever suffered. I dare say most of us know and work with quite a few Arsenal fans and I fukking live about a mile from their home ground. So this is definitely up there.

jd82 Let's get a bit of perspective eh....

Reading 5 - 7 Arsenal >>>>>>>>>>>> Reading 0 - 6 Bristol Rovers

im speechless

totally agree the rovers game is the worst ever.

we should have closed the game out at 5-5

the ref was a joke though, couldnt made his or the linos bias any more obvious in the 2nd. question for the ref

1) please explain why 6 mins of et was played when there was only 4, plus 30 secs for the sub
2) please explain why the arsenal defender wasnt sent off for a clear 2nd yellow
3) please explain why numerous fouls werent given - esp one i think that lead to their 2nd goal

ref is a oxf*rd

we defended brilliantly in the 1st half - then again arsenal were shockingly bad even their fans admitted that but that 2nd half performance from the royals in inexcusable

look on the bright we scored 5

not bad scored EIGHT in 2 games against prem opposition and we STILL dont come away with a win, WTF!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

No no no - not having all this - tonight was summed up in one quote by the sky commentry

"if it wasn't 4-1 that would have been a penalty.."

Plus the 4 extra mins (generous) that turned into 5 odd - not embarrassing from our point of view!

It did seem we were also playing the ref tonight!

Get a grip peeps!!!

I wonder if the players/management fully comprehend how utterly sickening it was as a supporter to watch that to a sound track of relentless piss taking from Arsenal fans who were booing their side earlier.

I would rather have lost 0-7 to a team that looked bothered than pissing a 4-0 lead away against a side who looked completely disinterested.

I don't recall 3-5 challening saves by Feds...

I hope McCarthy v. Swansea isn't forgotten too quickly, fecking master class in goal keeping. Feds is a long way from deserving of a return.

Our only hope is that the players can some how pull together in the face of adversity. Apart from Shorey and Roberts we look completely out of our depth though.
