Sir Dodger Royal Gary has a scoring rate of 30% goals scored from over 500 games inc substitute. Still only 33 so could still help keep RFC in the Championship next season!!!

Better value than the wasters signed by McDonet. Carrico what a signing only £650000 for 20 minutes. Wowwwwwwwwww

He played 45 minutes you innumerate cretin.

Sanguine Jonny Fordham says Dolan will be asking McDermott for advice ahead of the United game.

Fcuk off.

McDermott is gone for a reason, if Dolan doesn't want to take charge of the team, someone else should.

Clearly McDermott can't have been sacked on Monday and still be picking the team on Friday... But Dolan certainly said that, so the only credible answer is the "sacking" was dreamt up by McDermott and Zingarevich to give the team a massive kick up the backside and bring fresh impetus when Brian's re-unveiled ahead of the Southampton game.

I am fed up with this circus.

I rather liked the "Reading Way" and the fact that Brian was one of the top dozen or so League Managers in terms of time in the job. I was looking forward to him having another go at the Championship next season.

I have reflected on all this over the last few days and I have now concluded that I won't be going again this season and I never thought I would say this but I am far from convinced I will return next season either. I think we will now join a list of clubs run as a play thing for a rich bloke with a revolving managerial door. Well good luck to him, but I don't have to waste my hard earned cash helping his finances out.

Struggling to see how you would be helping his finances out.. A new owner has come in with a new way! DEAL WITH IT. What did you expect SJM mark 2? SJM to control the club from the grave? I believe in what he is saying. Can I trust him of course not! We have to hope for the best. I do believe that AZ can take us to the next level. If that level is to be one of say a WEST BROM I would be happy. I would hardly call firing one manager a revolving door. Life goes on! If you are not happy maybe Swindon would welcome you.

It's certainly exaggerated, but at least some of it definitely has a good basis in truth.

I don't think he "forced" it - he just went away and did it. "Forced" is overly-emotive. When you're the big boss you don't need to "force" anything.

Soz, where has it been shown he has:

1. Meddled with transfers?
2. Meddled with team selection?
3. Meddled with tactics?

Ideal

I just don't understand what happened, everyone were so proud that we "were doing things the right way", but that means not overspending beyond our means and running things like a real CLUB. Now we've turned into just what everyone said they didn't like, and now those same people seem to like just that what they earlier said they hated.

And I agree, Brian was doing a great job, there's no way anyone else would have got anywhere near the number of points he got us this season, this squad was playing out of their skins last season and were nowhere near good enough for this division, and we all knew it.

andrew1957 I think we will now join a list of clubs run as a play thing for a rich bloke with a revolving managerial door.

Yes, he's already shown that he wants to meddle with transfers, he wants to meddle with team selection, he wants to meddle with tactics.
People will argue that this is not the case, but he forced the Poggrebnyak transfer, he forced Poggrebnyak's selection, he tried to influence tactics but was rebuffed, the club is his plaything and people seem to think it's great.

To be quite frank, I hope AZ has litigious tendencies because I doubt you have any evidence whatsoever to support those claims.

I'm with you 99% (will probably go to a couple next year).
I was hoping the club and McD could develop together. He clearly could have regained promotion, as he almost got us promoted twice.
It's weird how the manager gets sacked, yet the higher earning players all keep their jobs despite also making errors at the new division. Leeds or which ever club McD goes to are going to get a top manager.
I'm starting to get totally fed up with football, it's not fun anymore. We were one of the few well run, solid clubs in the league, now we're just like all the clubs i hate.
I might start following a local non-league club, as it's like football used to be, and should be.
I've been an Reading fan for 30 years, seeing us nearly fold, then Madejski save us from the brink, the his steady rebuilding, then a wealthy youngster throwing his toys out the pram because we're going to get relegated.
