Our goal not really been too threatened. One free header to score. One good save from McCarthy and one long range pile driver off the post. Lots of possession in midfield. Nothing up top. Almost every time I heard Blackman's name it was shortly followed by some criticism of him losing the ball. Not got on the end of any 'dangerous' balls from Drenthe.

McCleary been conspicuous in the lack of his name coming up. Karacan similar.

I'd like to see ALF on for Blackman asap and Williams on for McCleary or Karacan sooner rather than later. Give us more goal threat and more drive through the middle. It's definitely time for the War Boar.

Worth sacrificing a half/ game to learn that Blackman's shit in my mind and can't play on his own. ALF offers nothing up front on his own and Pog is a wee bit hit and miss. I expect a lot of similar tinkering in coming weeks... which is fine

No offence, but abandoning a new way of playing instantly at the first sign of trouble was one of the reasons we struggled last season and will see us fail to progress should we make it up.

Got no issue with the way we are trying to play, but clearly we don't have a forward that can play upfront on his own and hold the ball up while others join in.

No point playing 4-5-1 when 1 nil down and haven't threatened.
