LoyalRoyal22 Including Roberts in this clear our we must be saving 100k+ a week now. Roughly bringing the wage bill down by like what, 20-30%. Good work by the club.

reckon thats an optimistic percentage

Quite sad to see Jobi go, and Ledge to an extent, but I can see the thinking behind it. New contracts for those in their 30's aren't going to be cheap, nor would they be contracts that would then be 'worth' anything in the way of future transfers. That and the fact that we are clearly going to be *cough* cutting our cloth for the season ahead, it comes as no real surprise at all. Bridge was almost always going to be a one year only affair, Taylor...well, not much to say about that, nobody will.

How many we can now 'sell' is another subject entirely. As long as Williams and McCleary stay, then I'm not too fussed about further outgoings. What will be incoming to the club, in all regards, will be very, very interesting. Terrifying and exciting!

It would have been 11% of our wages in the PL

if you think we halved our wage bill in one season I think you'll be in for a surprise. Closer to 15% I imagine.

Not really a surprise given Arnold didn't impress Wycombe fans and D'Ath couldn't get a regular place in the Daggers side.

Cheers lads, hope you manage to build yourselves a decent career in the lower leagues.

D'Ath was a strange one, one of their best players when he played.

Injuries really curtailed Arnold's chances. D'Ath just never quite lived up to potential. Both will get a L2/pushing L1 team next year I imagine. Hopefully they can rise up a league or two with more games.

Lawson will no doubt carve out a decent career in the lower divisions playing in the D'Ath Cup.

^ One for the oldies, there.

Didn't Arnold have a few nasty injury problems that set him back from being quite promising?

Shame for the lads, but no real surprises. Good luck to them as you say.

I seem to remember he was sniffing around the first teem bench two years ago before the TSI deal, and he's had some decent games on loan. I can see him finding his way into a championship side in a few years. I'll give my prediction now, he'll one day score against us whilst playing for Charlton.

If Charlie LOLosasso managed to get a deal at Bournemouth after we released him (they've since released him... ), anything is possible.

Cracking sending off at Burton I recall for D'ath when playing for daggers, came in like an exocet!! (Argie missle for those of a younger age). I saw him play for Exeter a couple of years ago and he got man of the match in one game.. I just felt he had some good touches in games but lacked that something extra you need and seemed to drift in and out of games...

I liked him but found myself willing him to do more....

Arnold has definitely been unlucky with injuries, came at completely the wrong time in terms of his development.

D'Ath seemed the most promising of the crop that came through a couple of years ago, scored plenty of goals for the U18's, but hasn't really kicked on. Didn't pull up trees at Cheltenham or Exeter before going to Daggers and despite impressing a few of their fans with his work rate, struggled to get a regular place. I thought we might give him another year just in case, but tbh having seen him play in the same U21 team as the likes of Tshibola, Kuhl, Tanner, and Taylor I'm not surprised we've let him go.

I suspect it is the bright decision regarding D'Ath and Arnold. Sadly neither have had great loans this season and there would be no point re-signing them at that age unless they are ready to come into the Championship squad. They are both older than Obita and yet he is already POTS.

Good luck to them in finding a new club.
