floyd__streete Hector a concern......Has to step up to the plate today and prove himself, he's hardly shone for us thus far (albeit in a different position).

BOOM

Well done Reading. To be able to eek out a narrow win against capable Championship opposition with such an inexperienced squad is superb.

Either your account has been hacked Floyd or you need to take some medication and go for a lie down in a dark room.

Not having been this season yet - hadn't appreciated how much of a unit Cox is.

winchester_royal Massive win. Ipswich are the type of physical team that we were always going to struggle against with such a young squad, but we stood up manfully. Hector was gr8, almost got caught out a couple of times in his positioning but his recovery pace and strength is so good that he'll be fine in this division once he gains that experience he'll be an absolute tank. Will easily command 3x the fee that we got for Morrison in a couple of years time.

We didn't play particularly well though. Akpan was completely lost in midfield. Was spent after 20 mins. But Cox did some nice stuff in the hole and Pog fought valiantly up front which created a few chances. Today wasn't about the performance though, it was about the spirit and fight that we showed. Add the right type of quality in the next couple of weeks and we have a chance this season.

Big shout out to Shaun Cummings as well. Solid game and didn't kick himself in the head.

I'm quoting this just in case Floyd realises he posted something positive and edits it.

Yeah hes huge, took me ages to recognise him in the warm up. Akpan looked like he'd hit the gym over the summer too

Kept getting Cox and Gunts mixed up. Both buff as fcuk. Was only Gunter's sexual pink boots that helped me tell them apart at times.

floyd__streete What a p*ss-weak team that is. If Adkins can lead that lot to a comfortable midtable finish this season then I will admit he is a better manager than I thought he is.

Hector a concern. All very well shining in the SPL, its a diabolical league.....Johnny Hayes was starting games regularly not so long ago for Aberdeen, he was never good enough to get anywhere near the Reading team with any regularity. Has to step up to the plate today and prove himself, he's hardly shone for us thus far (albeit in a different position).

Not at all, credit where credit is due. These people get paid enough at their job to be able to take a bit of stick when they get it wrong.....they're certainly happy to take the praise and adoration if they're doing well. This was a fine result in the circumstances which gives everyone at the club some confidence.
