Westwood52
3points Good showing today. Within the first 5 minutes it was noticeable how much better balanced we looked having a left footed, attack minded left back.

Two minor criticisms. Felt we should have pushed on more in the last 20 as I felt we could have scored more, but we lacked impetus. Secondly, I thought Gunter had another day to frustrate. Gets forward well, but then kept cutting back onto his left foot and doing nothing with the ball.

Why bother pushing on with more goals when we have a tough game on Tuesday ?

Because we were battered at Forest and goal difference at the end if the season could be important. It also makes a statement of intent to other teams, gives the players a confidence boost, etc,

Oh, and it was a bit dull to watch.

7 games in 22 days, and with lots of players out injured still, makes sense to reserve the energy

I didn't find it dull at all - I thought there was always a chance of more goals and I enjoyed the way we were playing. Not sure what some people expect from a football match sometimes.

It was a very enjoyable game of football, which was surprising because quite often when one team goes down to 10 men early in the game the game is ruined.

The only piece of constructive criticism I would have is that we didn't move the ball quick enough at times. I think we could have stepped it up a gear and opened up more space on the pitch. However we have a busy run of games coming up and still have numerous injuries so i can understand why we didn't I suppose.

This. We were entertaining for the most part and good value for the 3 pts. If we can start moving the ball a bit quicker and add some more pace to the side (McCleary & Williams), we'll be in good shape.

Didn't go but unsurprised to hear the Obita love.

Obita > Gylfi as a prospect, you heard it here first. Obita will make a career as a regular in a top 6 side (Gylfi won't).

They won't finish 3rd. Might sneak top half tbf. Gylfi is a midtable Premier League player.....and there is absolutely no disgrace in that of course, far from it.

Yup, Swansea are third, and if the season ended now they'd be in the Champions League.

:| they've had home games against two of the contenders to go down, WBA and Burnley. They won't be finishing 3rd, we've only had 4 games FFS!

It's frankly quite unbelievable the amount of shyte that some people are throwing in Fed's direction/talking about him. What incredibly poor memories some have. He has been an absolute star for us over many seasons (with just the one blip of real note) and without doubt is still on we of the best keepers in the Championship. What's more, but for his excellent save at 1-0, the outcome of the Fulham game may well have been very different. Had they equalised at that point, I am sure they would have parked the bus in a very obstructive and probably effective manner. And his distribution was excellent once again.
