Good for him.

He's a fantastic scout and this will give him the opportunity to build up a knowledge of the world's best up and coming young players. That should stand him in good stead if he gets offered another Football League manager job.

I suggest you e-mail/contact the people organising it.

My guess - If they have any left, they might try and shift them on the night otherwise no.

It's very unlikely - there's only a handful of tickets left and they need to be purchased in advance.

Big Foot
floyd__streete Q: would you rather attend an evening with Nigel Adkins or an evening with Brian McDermott?

The fact that there's an evening with BMc & not one with NA speaks volumes, IMO.

I attended an 'Audience with Nigel Atkins' last night at the Madejski.

Was a free event by invitation only and included drinks and canapés supplied by Waitrose.

Nigel came across as really knowledgeable and passionate about what he is trying to achieve at the club. He seemed relieved about the new owners as this has made it easier for the club to look forward. He spent a lot of time talking about training methods. Questions taken from the audience throughout the evening.

Very enjoyable evening.

'Audience with Nigel Atkins'

I hope they didn't put that on a banner.

Yes really interesting. He did comment that it was no coincidence that those who give 100% in training are those available for selection every week.......also seemed frustrated with Guthries injuries and said they have sent him up to St George's Park to see if they can find out why he keeps getting injured? He hinted that these injuries may cut his career short

So Guthrie's not trying hard enough in training then?

Wonder how those other injured players that he's implicitly slagged off will react to this.

Guthrie didn't come across as his favourite player to work with... Tones of praise for Harte, Long, Roberts and Feds though. And Nicky Hammond.

Lots of love for Shane... and to be fair, those with half a brain always knew Hammond is good at the job he is given.

We're not allowed to post it up

Although the comment about the 3-3 home draw against West Brom was interesting....

Can't say much - but those of you who questioned me,dirk and others who insisted McD had very little money to spend were absolutely WRONG to question us - that is all.
