floyd__streete Gr8 result. Sensible team selection. Saw the goals on SKY, gr8 strikes.
Disappointing to see crowds continuing to fall though.
Somebody who did not go to the game is dissapointed that crowds continue to fall LOL.

Schards#2 Much improved performance that augers well for the rest of the season. As players return from injury, the likes of Kuhl, Taylor, Edwards, Tanner etc can take a step back but will have benefitted from the first team experience. With the addition of Williams and with Obita pushed forward, we looked a far more balanced and potent attacking force and could easily have scored 5-6 despite not turning up for 30 minutes. The defence is still a concern but if Ferdinand could get and stay fit I'm sure he'd improve it as he's likely to be solid at this level and bring some lacking experience.
15 goals in the last 6 home games, if we can tighten the defence up (which is an easier job than finding a way of scoring) and take the game to teams more away from home, there are potentially good times ahead. Interesting to note that Williams, Cox, Murray, Ferdinand and Mackie, all Adkins signings, all looked the part last night. Maybe 'fans' should stop moaning, start coming to games and get behind the manager and team as we come out of a period of uncertainty, rebuilding and injury problems and look to kick on with a decent squad. I've not been to many away games this season but at home it's entertaining, exciting football with lots of goals from a team that appears united and committed, what's not to like?

Sanguine Agreed on that 2-0, there's surely got to be room for some flexibility by the club on gate prices when it's obvious attendance is going to be low.

Which reminds me of something that made me sad - I don't remember the game for certain, I think it might have been Bournemouth last season (1-2). Collecting my tickets from the office and an old guy is in front of me in the (wrong queue). He inquires if any tickets are available, to which he is quoted £28.
'oh £28? can't I have one of the cheaper seats?'
'That's all we have available sir.'
'Oh, I'll have to leave it then.'
I know, we just can't just let people in for free, but it was sad that this old chap had to get himself home again (he wasn't moving easily at all) without seeing his team play.

I'm suggesting that come matchday, or the day before, when it is obvious we are looking at a sub-15000 crowd, we could offer gate tickets at £20 to try to put 2000-3000 on that attendance and make the atmosphere that bit better. What on earth could be wrong with that?
I'm not sure what that has to do with ST holders, who make a decision to buy 23 tickets at £x per game at the start of the season.

ZacNaloen +1 for more identifiable hair cuts on our players.
I tend to look at the boots for identification

Hair and boots, yep. Funny that Michael Hector was the only one with black boots, which made him easy to spot (that, and he's 6' 4" tall!)

Nope not having it, if you want to go to watch Reading on the cheap buy a season ticket end of. If the club sets a precedent of having a fire sale on tickets when the attendance is expected to be low everyone will wait till the last minute and get them cheaper. Same as everything if want something last minute you pay more; in football, air travel, rock concerts etc etc etc. I cba to look it up but i am sure if you are a member card holder and bought the ticket 2 weeks before the game it would have been far cheaper than the 30 quid on the gate
