Surely the money for us getting to the semi final and the money gained from wembley would pay his fee alone, probably not massive wages either. he has payed for himself get us to the final and we could buy 3 of him.

Fees are largely irrelevant. But wages aren't. He's not likely to be on peanuts and we're taking a big drop in parachute payments with a big wage bill that already needs cutting. A lot are out of contract in the summer, but we're going to want to keep a fair few if we can (Fed /Andersen, Kelly / Gunter, etc)

Hopefully we can do something.

If he keeps scoring for us, it`s likely the new Forest management might fancy keeping him

Where is his family based - that may be a factor on whether he'd be willing to play ball with them or not.

Presumably we've got an option to buy. So if we want him, he's ours. Like with Glen Murray.

I used to watch him at Exeter City 8-10 years ago whilst at uni. (That makes me feel old) He left to join Plymouth which was massive money for Exeter but people were still angry due to selling on eof your own to your local rivals. I may or may not have got involved in "You can shove your Jamie Mackie up your arse (SIDEWAYS!)"

Since then i watched his rise from non-league promotion hopeful to Premier League with bemusement. He didnt stand out massively at Exeter in the Blue Square premier but i suppose he was young.

Now I get to cheer him on as i get to the end of my 20's it seems like my 20's have followed his life, peaking around the age of 25 in 2012 and now turing a bit shit.

Thanks Jamie for the memories. (The original reason for this post was a response to where is his family based, i'm pretty sure it must be Devon and Exeter or surrounding area.)
