paultheroyal Have a sneaky feeling we will do a Watford.
Well yes, Watford will probably get relegated at the end of the season as well.

Lacoste I know it's only idle speculation and the pre-season is still an age away but some of the players we've been linked with are terrifying.
I really think this window is the most important for some years and I really don't think Clarke is good enough or clever enough to operate in it successfully with such limited resources. We are literally relying on a failed manager with one managerial job behind him who made a hash of previous transfer windows to make the right calls here to keep us competitive. Someone with experience in buying on the cheap and developing would be far better here. Or at least a manager who has a record of getting the best out of an average group.
Having sold most of the high earners now, if we don't spend at least some money this summer, I really will start to believe that we've been sold to another bunch of duffs in the Thais. Unless of course our financial situation was so bad we need another season with all these players off the wage bill to really recover and start properly next summer?
Either way, the signs are bad and I think Clarke will waste the few pennies we do have to spend.

Excellent post. Sadly I feel Clarke will be gone by xmas and Doolan will get his chance.

Pepe the Horseman I'll be very upset if we don't finish in the top half.
