Hoop Blah Robson-Kanu has been alright, not a lot more, not a lot less.
At times he's looked like he was ready to fulfill the potential he undoubtedly has but for too long he's flattered to deceive (he's by no means alone in that respect though).
As for being loyal, the only thing I can see him being loyal to is the pay packet. It's not too long ago that he was holding out for better offers from anyone so that he could leave but, despite numerous come and get me pleas, he ended up staying.
In fairness, most players are only loyal to the money, especially when they get further along in their careers.
It's easy for players in their early 20s who aren't exceptional to stay loyal to a club, while trying to establish themselves and find their level. When they get a little older, many want to move on and test themselves at a higher level. This invariably means more money, or a longer contract perhaps. There are always players who don't move on quite so quickly, but most who are good enough will move up.
Hal's almost 27 now. He should be hitting his peak and will be coming off the back of a campaign at the Euros - he will see this as a perfect opportunity to try and get in the Prem, especially without a transfer fee.
