Forbushman Have just stumbled on this site (hope I haven't damaged it) and just wanted to say that, but for a decent striker, RFC could go all the way this season. The Stam revolution really seems to be working. The squad appears to have been re-invented, mixing good existing players with inspired incomers, the whole team, new and old, seem to have bought into Stam's vision and each performance and result seems to prove that the whole package is starting to work.
Huddersfield will be a good test but they definately ain't unbeatable. Brighton, Brentford also over the next few matches.
If a striker can somehow evolve from the current squad, or if a real prospect comes in in the January window, RFC can definately be contenders.
This is my first football post, I chose RFC years ago after a fan convinced me but I rarely get to visit due to distance and commitments. I have been to the Madstad, but most of my support is, unfortunately second-hand. I envy you guys and girls who can watch all of the games.

John Smith Just going to be a bit cynical here briefly - how long can we rely on Swift and other midfielders to get the goals? Whilst we've picked up some good results lately and the new system appears to beginning to take effect, we are still crying out for a frontman to stick it in the old onion bag.
Thoughts...?

From the way they're playing I think the reliance on the midfield is ok. Kermorgant is playing as the hold-up/flick on guy rather than a striker's striker, and the system allows a couple of high playing midfielders. To critique it I'd say we're a bit reliant on Swift's pearlers and not getting enough 'standard' goals. The wingers need to be getting into better shooting positions for that.

oh_ROAR Can't fault Rakkels' work rate but I don't see him ever scoring 10< goals, but I'd love to be proved wrong. Haven't seen much of Samuel however it must be a matter of time before he gets a run, unfortunate to come off early on Tuesday but needs must
