It is the defending really letting us down today. We have had more shots on target than them and most have been pretty good efforts. However, unlike us, they are not prepared to gift goals to their opponents.

I think it would be harsh to criticise if we didn't - there's no pressure on us to. It'd be disappointing to drop out of the play-offs for sure, but that's still far from a foregone conclusion, our run-in has some very winnable games.

Nothing is winnable if we defend like this.

Of course, might as well just relegate us now, right?

Yep. Bypass League 1 and go straight to League 2.

So we've had lots of chances and not scored.
What does that tell you?

NewCorkSeth Preston are playing very well tbf.

It's easy to play well when you're gifted a 2 goal cushion.

Not to mention that our style of play is so easy to play well against. Predictable, slow, sideways, and today, totally ineffective.

Tyler Blackett needs to be turned into glue.

A team in the top 6 with a 0 (ZERO) GD at this stage of the season is surely pretty rare?

Leeds and Weds dropping points saving it from being too terrible a day

I reckon Fulham are nailed on the way they are playing for a p-o place. Sheff Weds, Leeds and us being equally as inept and scratchy as us at the moment

Oh well, raped by a team that was superior. Can whinge about 1 goal perhaps but in general fair play to Preston, they were just better than Reading.

Speaks volumes about what is needed.

With the way results have gone today with our rivals, we could & should have put ourselves in a strong place. Instead, we're now scrapping for a play-off place & Preston have just about put themselves in with a shout of one

Stam's got a very big job on his hands to turn this around. Not so much the results but the performances have been so lacking and a result like this has been coming.

Not sure what the answer is, everyone just looks so off the pace. Levels nowhere near what is required.

They (Preston) are an excellent side playing without shackles.
Daryl Horgan must be the signing of the season they got him for next to nothing and he's scored one and laid on another causing us problems all day.
I'm a touch lost for words but with Leeds and Sheff Weds being equally inept today it's not so bad.
We will struggle to hold on now I'm afraid to say and let's be honest you can't fancy us against any of the top 6 :(

But we're in bonus territory really and nobody expected us to be competing for a playoff I know I certainly didn't.

Leeds game is massive now !

We will play really well but lose 0-1 which will give us confidence going into the next game where we play terrible and get dicked.
