Ok - so answer this one, completely hypothetical but who would you have as Reading manager if both were available Vincent Kompany or Phil Parkinson?.

I wonder if he was referring to Glasgow's off-field activities.

:| :| :|

Yeah that was obviously what he was referring to.

It's also obviously nonsense from one of the forum's resident racists.

Ejaria's the member of the squad who famously doesn't go out partying and who allegedly had a religious objection to being vaccinated, so he's the last person anyone would expect to be taking cocaine.

Do we know for certain it was for religious reasons?
Whatever religion he has it doesn't seem to have made him a happy chappy when at work nor committed to the work ethic (refusing to play in a game last season).
There is some serious talent there but no manager seems to be able to extract it or make it work as part of a team.

Studies show atheists and the non-religious are happier than the religious. 8)

We don’t even know for certain he wasn’t vaccinated! It’s possible he isn’t religious and got vaccinated straight away. The “doesn’t go on squad nights out” thing is 100% a fact. I’m by no means saying he is an angel, but I am saying I don’t think he takes cocaine. If nothing else he would have tested positive and been sacked.

Paunovic and to a lesser extent Gomes both got good stuff out of Ejaria, but I’d agree that it’s been a long time since we saw him anywhere near his best.

Which ones? Most studies suggest religious people are happier, one study suggests that those with firm beliefs (in either a religion, or as atheists) are equally happy - but the fence-sitters are less happy.
Given Ejaria clearly has strong convictions, whatever is making him miserable, it's unlikely to be because of his religion - if he has mental struggles, that may be the only thing keeping him afloat.

A very in-depth  study of members of this board (Ian and StP) where one is religious and the other is not suggests to me that their different stances produces a draw.

Neither appear to be happy and both rather discontented with the life that they lead or have chosen.
Nothing personal chaps.

Is he actually miserable? Granted he doesn’t smile a lot but that may just be part of his persona on the pitch. Could be the life and soul in training for all we know

Even Ince said he worked hard in training and Hunt said the same last week. He isn’t lazy on the pitch so not a work ethic issue. Only ever got ince’s version of events last year and the fact Ejaria spent the rest of the season injured - maybe he had a point in not coming on

He’s possibly just had a crap couple of seasons due to injuries and a style of play that certainly doesn’t bring out the best in him

I thought you were on about Ian or St P for a moment.
I suppose smiling appears to be the external expression of happiness, albeit temporary, and we don't know how incredibly happy somebody might be on the inside or in their soul who doesn't smile.

As you say, it could be part of his persona as it probably is with Eze and Olise who I actually caught smiling the other day.
Perhaps looking miserable and not smiling is just cool and the new happy.

Crystal Palace are definitely bit too cool for school. Olise just walking back to the half way line after that free kick against Man U in the last minute was top class to be fair to him

We should do everything we can to bring in this guy in the summer

Has to be one of the absolute best centre backs I've ever watched play and dominant in every aerial battle, and a both footed ball playing CB

Wouldn`t mind a cheeky go at getting Barry Bannon in on a free, OOC in the summer, could definitely still do a job in L1.
