Peterborough have filled GU1-GU3 pretty much. Fair play to them. We are charging their fans up to £29 a ticket.

Everyone likes a big day out in a nice stadium vs a big club. Especially if they're likely to win.

Well I feel better about this game now than I did at the start of the week, if we're able to squeeze any more players in before the 12pm registration deadline today then I daresay I might even become optimistic.

Presumably anyone we squeeze in will be somebody we've had on trial and we won't be asking them to line up with a load of strangers.

This is a tough opening game - they should finish in the top 6. If we lose, it is no cause for panic given the pre season. If we win and put in a good performance, it will warrant genuine on pitch optimism given we still have time to strengthen our squad. But I don't think it will happen.

Gotta win again at some point, doubt it'll be tomorrow though unless Selles is some kind of miracle worker.

Hound
blythspartan Did Jahmari Clarke score a great goal for the under U21s earlier in the week? He could be given a chance against Posh.

He did and he might

Think he has the attributes to be a good striker at L1 level

A bit unorthodox but capable of causing danger. It’s a shame he picked up the injury after the brace at Birmingham, never got the chance to kick on

Also a shame he got injured at FGR or he’d have had a solid half a season behind him at this level

Did Selles say anything last night on Smith's injury and also AC? Is he really on holiday?

Aye but they've visited us a few times recently, so it's not exactly a new ground for their away day regulars. 1,500 fans is a good following for them.

Are we doing a prediction thread for this and for all games this season?

I was feeling pessimistic but I'm more confident now we've got Wing and Savage playing

Didn't mention Smith. Just said that AC had resumed training later due to injury and he's a good pro. None of the questions were that revealing, though we did discover which motorway is Noel Hunt's favourite.

I'm going for letting in an early goal, then doing reasonably well for the rest of the game without actually creating many good chances, and then letting in another one at the end. One of those games which could be either "the rot continues" or "encouraging signs" depending on your views on semi-full glasses.

Going for we look good but let in a goal before half time despite being the better side. Dominance continues after the break and we rightly equalise before a sucker punch late winner for Peterborough.

Signs are there that the team is much better than the individual parts suggest and is proven as we proceed to go on a 32 game unbeaten streak.

We are relegated on 44 pts come May.
