Rea Ding Might be IN for this one as never seen us play Bracknell, like to follow non league teams around us but tend to stick to the ones West of the county.

Just had a look at directions to stadium and Bracknell have moved to Sandhurst! I hope that hasn't dented their ambitions of moving up the football pyramid.

Sandhurst not ideal for Bracknell but they do own it and the previous owner has spent considerable sums in transforming the ground including the laying of the 3g pitch.

Would get a better signal if they moved to 4g though.

Saw Reading play Bracknell at “the Lane” in a preseason friendly in the mid 80s. Think it was Gilkes debut performance.

Bracknell Town do not own the ground... Sandhurst Town Council agreed a 30-year agreement to allow Bracknell Town FC to play in Sandhurst at Bottom Meadow.

Is Sandhurst where we played in the final last season?

It's certainly one of the better non-league grounds I've been to and has clearly had a lot of good investment.

It's tidy, but there's not a lot there. It's mainly just hard standing. There's an atcost style seating unit in one corner, a small area of covered standing on the halfway line on one side, and a small bit of terracing at one end.

As basic grounds go, it's definitely one of the best examples, but it is basic.

Bracknell moved as as the rebuild of Larges Lane, financed by selling off land, left them no room to expand. The plan has always been to move back, but with the owner then having to sell up for personal reasons (looking after his wife, who got cancer) and no site in Bracknell identified, it could be a long time until they return. Larges Lane is to be redeveloped for housing, which would, in theory, pay for a new ground, somewhere.

The first time I ever went the was around 1990, for a Berks & Bucks Cup game v Reading. Bracknell were abysmal at the time, bottom of the Isthmian Div 3, and Reading won 3-0.

For its level, I thought the facilities were impressive.

The clubhouse/bar area was good and modern; there was modern terracing (covered); railing seating (covered); good 3G pitch.

Obviously it’s not state of the art or anything, but compared to the grounds you get at lower league level it was good and has amble potential for further development should there be a need.

Yeah. It's a very smart set-up. It's just very basic in terms of spectating areas. For the most part it's just hard standing, and there's no real main stand or covered end. While they could improve the ground, any money they spend will be money wasted if they do intend to move back to Bracknell.

I might go along to this one. I'm not exactly Bracknell's lucky charm. I think my record for Bracknell home games is W1 D2 L10. What's more, in only two of those 13 games have they conceded fewer than 3 goals. Away from home I've seen 4 wins from 6, and only one defeat - albeit an 0-8 defeat.

It’s very average for the Southern League, somewhere like Gloucester is just way better. Bracknell is not really superior to Marlow for example and at least Marlow has character, history and a proper pitch !
