How long is never? Please define never? Please provide your qualifications to say that Kitson will NEVER play for England?

Less than 18months ago a mong on here mentioned the word NEVER when responding to a thread about a Reading player in the existing squad one day playing for England.

Do you see where I'm going here Diddly diddly dee...? I'll spell it out for you, you can't say never because you can't say that over the next 3-4 years that Kitson will never play for England unless you have a magical crystal ball and can see so far into the future....

Oh, and you are a twat and probably gay too...

Im a twat and gay because i dont think Kitson is good enough to play for England???

Kitson will never play for england

It's really tempting to go out and murder/cripple every other English Premiership striker just to prove you wrong at the next England game.

twat

LOL

is it half term already?

Why do you ask? Have you had a guilt pang about not being in school today?

why do i ask?

the reason i ask is because of the utter trash being posted, most of it has been done before, just more and more sad attempts at increasing post counts.

Kits scores three goals and should suddenly be considered for England? What about Lita? top English striker in U21 championships, scored for fun last year, yet is behind Kitson? I think not.

People like you really put the nob in Hob Nob Anyone?

When your eyes finally come to rest, "Fcuk all" will be the words you're groping for :?

Whilst it remains less than likely that Kits will get a chance for England, how many would have put money on Heskey getting a recall just a few weeks ago?

No one was talking about Kevin Doyle in similar terms until he started out scoring top strikers in the same division.

As others have said, England are hardly over blessed with world class front men and that means the picture might change very quickly.

If Kitson bangs in 15, and he's already got 3 whilst playing for one of the worst form teams in the Prem, by February, with another big guy like Crouch getting injured or losing form, he will be in contention regardless of which club he plays for.

Lita is currently half the player Kitson is. I personally think he's the best all round striker we have and until Doyle shows he's more than a one season wonder in the prem then that will remain the case. Lita hasn't even managed one season wonder yet.

You can't really "find out" Kitson because he doesn't have any particular skill that causes defences trouble. He just has excellent vision and awareness and has a very reliable attitude and shot. He will continue to be in the right place at the right time scoring and creating chances.

He'd have performed better for England at the World cup than Crouch did, and as far as strikers go he is approaching his prime. If he had a slightly better attitude to training and didn't have such fragile legs he'd be at a major club playing for England by now and would stay in the premiership well into his 30's like Sheringham.

reality mate, thats what it is, as soon as any Ding player plays well, straight away they get over hyped, 3 goals and suddenly should be challenging for an England spot?

No, on his overall game, skill and ability he should be pushing for an England call up if there are key injuries. 3 goals so far is merely the sign that he is back from injury and his quality old self. This means he is quite likely to go on and hit 10 - 15 by January/February time.

I hope he does go on to score 10-15 goals by Jan, but he is not in the same class as Owen, Rooney, Crouch, Defoe, Johnson to name a few.

Worth remembering that Dean Ashton has achieved recognition despite the unglamorous carrer path (Crewe, Norwich, West Ham), involving desperate relegation battles, and severe injury.

In my view Ashton > Kitson, but not a lot in it.

I'd back Kitson for England because like many have said on here, he's great player, great vision and the rest of it. I respect him if he tries for England.

If McClaren goes with his current tactics of playing a target man its only Crouch in that list that Kitson would need to be ahead of. The real competition for Kitson is Crouch, Bent, and Ashton. Given his current form he looks to me like he's ahead of Bent at least and on a par with Ashton.

A question.

If after the showers they don't put their Kitson and they Crouch for eachother, does that make them Bent?

no thats true, he's better than 3 of them and more likely to score than one of the others if he plays for England.

England should be picking players on form, not reputation or ego. And at the moment, Kitson has scored more than any other English striker, except Agbonlahor. Therefore, there is no harm in us reminding McLaren that he has an English striker who is in form at the moment.

It's unlikely that Kitson will play for England, but I really can't see any harm in singing that particular tune.

Apparently Ashton is now doubtful for the European qualifiers with a knee injury.
So come on Dave,a couple of goals tomorrow and you could get that call-up.
Let's hear it tomorrow "Kitson for England".

Ashton is out for a while with medial knee ligament damage so the slight, theoretical, chance gets that little bit closer.
