TWRoyal Phil Whitehead saving the ball from going out for a corner against Oxford only to present it to the striker that was standing in front of an empty goal. We won 4-3, IIRC, so could laugh at it.

LOL forgot about that

Got to be blackburn away last season, steward ran over to get the door for my mate, his feet slipped from under him, he put his hands out to stop himself and skidded down to the door on his backside. comedy gold that.

Funniest moment was conning Compo into thinking that Crewe away in 2003 was full Halloween fancy dress. He turned up at Reading station dressed as Gomez from the Addams Family, complete with drawn on moustache

And I am outraged that we have arrived at the 5th page of this thread without mention of the Luton mascot Harry the Hatter giving the away end the w@nker sign before tripping over the warming-up Scott Howie

First game of Season 99 - Brizzle City

The guy on his debut trying to bounce the ball off the advertising board only to smash it straight into East stand, almost cause a riot and get himself sent off! Priceless.

I wouldn't say this was him trying to bounce the ball off the advertising board - it was deliberately into the crowd. And he was charged and found guilty : http://www.highbeam.com/doc/1P1-38389118.html

EDIT - Doesn't this just show how different people see the same things in different ways?

In recent years the announcer at the West Ham game - 'and the scorer of the 3rd Reading Goal - West Ham United'

Before that it was probably Steve Stone missing the open goal at Elm Park for Forest - back in ? Now that did make me laugh.

Is there still a copy of that poster that was designed for the trip on HNA anywhere?

Oi Oi Saveloy Ian Richardson's own goal for Notts county against us, then the PA annoucing, "and Readings goalscorer, Ian Richardson."

The own goal was somthing special in itself, so good that he in fact featured in our player of the seaon vote that year.

Then he scoredanother own goal again next season! He still gets lots of mentions around our house. Legend.

Scored more goals for Reading than Paul Brayson.
