Woodcote Royal
Half Horse This was a travesty!

How on earth did Marcus not win?

There are too many idiots who support this club..................

I agree - too many who confuse running around and passion with contribution. I voted Marcus - top save-maker in the whole league.

lol
i can see your point

I voted for Marcus
Without him we would have lost certain games by 6+ goals.
IMO one of his best seasons as a Reading player

On the other hand, on the grounds that nobody really deserved a vote since January, Stephen Hunt would have been a clear winner for his performances before then. Even Oliver Holt called him the most improved player in the premiership!

Agree, only an idiot would think Sidwell is an average player who wouldn't be missed at all.

patroyal roy keane isn't that stupid - don't believe everything you read in papers
Far Canal Some good news.........

http://www.mirror.co.uk/sport/football/ ... -20406204/

Sunderland set for Stephen Hunt swoop 5/05/2008

Sunderland boss Roy Keane will make a £5million swoop for Stephen Hunt if Reading are relegated.
Keano had three bids for the Republic of Ireland winger, 27, rejected in the January transfer window.
Hunt will want away from the Royals if they go down, despite recently signing a £25,000-a-week deal as the club's top earner.

*******************************************************************************************************************************************************

Voting Steven Hunt as our POTY was clearly a cunning plan to convince Roy Keane that he is worth £5M. I wish I'd thought of that!

Keane should have been there Saturday. Hunt's been rubbish since he won POTY

I voted for Kitson - I think over the course of the season he has been the best, and most influential player.

If it had been over the last third of the season I would have voted fro Bikey.

Hunt faded badly, as did Kitson a bit, but I would have voted:

1 - Kitson
2 - Hunt
3 - Harper
4 - Marcus (kicking and longshots pushed him lower for me but he had a great end to the season...)

Cheers

That article in the mirror made me seeth,so what does Hunt care if we go down? He can stay in this league with another club. Makes me angry because he hasnt performed since his bumper contract and thats a major factor why we are where we are!

Except we can rot him in the reserves until the new contract runs out.

And Keane's so stable he wants to pay off his signings to go!

Where are all these people who voted Harper as there seems to be a few more people who voted for USA (as well as Hunt) over him.

I don't know what he has to do before he's taken off or dropped at times this season. Way too lightweight for central midfield and has failed to step up after Sidwell's departure.

For the record i voted for Steve Coppell's smile. POTS needs to be someone consistantly good enough over the nine months and i've failed to spot one this season.

A rare venture into these debates by the Rouge, but inevitably a good one. In the first half of the season, Hunt had some awesome games, head and shoulders above those around him. Harper, too, hardly deserves the 'that tw@t'" he's been getting lately. The whole team has been bad lately, and Marcus and Bikey have been the only ones to come through 2008 with much credit. But the year includes the best part of five months of 2007 and it was that period when the most respectable football was played.

Anyway, no vote from me. Bikey's my personal favourite of the year, but very subjective and not worth a fight over.

I voted for Hahnemann.
Work rate may be helpful, but if it gets you nowhere, there's not much point in you playing. ( :x Hunt)
Hahnemann has had a fantastic second half to the season. He's kept us in it.
So he deserved it.

I voted USA

Am a bit baffled by people who voted Hunt. dont know who they have been watching play for the last 4 months but he has been shocking.

Hunt and Harper are 2 examples that work rate and running around just dont cut it in the prem, guess they may well be alright next season then 8)

I was really surprised when I heard the result. I voted for USA and thought he would win by a mile.

I have to wonder if the vote was rigged - after all how good would it look if the keeper who let in 67 goals won!

Really cannot see how Hunty won., I would have voted for him in Jan but he really has been woeful since his new contract. Harper runs around a lot but most of the time has no end product.

Seriously, do we have a rough idea what this guy earns?

I am assuming it is close to 20k? Jesus I hope that it has a relegation related pay cut written in :| At least 80% preferably
