Stewart was in the same side as Glen Little's son  Like I said, we sat fairly close together a few years ago (myself in row f, him and his family in row a). I remember the look of delight on his face when he got Hahnemann's shirt.

Have just read Eamonn,s words and they are so much more personal and moving than the usual comments associated with such dreadful circumstances.Well done to all the club and i am sure they will honour Stewart in the most appropriate way on Saturday.

My 13 year old daughter was due to go to the same course in the summer, but had to cancel. She was so disappointed but this tragedy puts personal feelings into perspective.

Stewart James McEwan.

Stewart was the kind of lad that all youth football managers relish having in their team, his boundless enthusiasm and energy made him constantly strive to be the best at goalkeeping .I have very fond memories of him asking his mum to cancel their summer holiday just so he could participate further in our preseason training such was his commitment , he was immensely popular with all his team mates especially on his very first game in a west London tournament when he made a amazing string of penalty saves to get us to the final and then ultimately win the tournament on a penalty shoot out making the winning save, his dedication ultimately paid off when recently Reading fc signed him on a youth engagement . Stewart will not just be remembered for his goalkeeper feats he was extremely well liked for his caring friendly personality that made such a great young person, his humility was such that he was almost regretful when announcing to us that he had been signed by Reading and leaving us without a keeper, but every lad in the team wished him all the success in the world because we knew he deserved it. On behalf of Eldon Celtic lions I wish to convey our deepest condolences to his family and friends.”Stewart simply was one in a million” We will be dedicating this season to Stewarts memory .
Rob Clark
On behalf of Eldon Lions under 15 squad

All the players of Eldon Celtic Youth Fc are deeply saddened by the loss of one of our former players Stewart was a talented and brave young goalkeeper that has made a lasting impression on this club and will be sadly missed by all.
Our sincere sympathies go to his family at this tragic time

Chairman Eldon Celtic Fc

Fair enough. Was told he was by my cousin who used to play in the same team as him, but he's not in the best of states at the moment. Apologies.

We can't be at the game on Saturday, but I'll take a minute aside just before 3.00pm to think of him and his family.

Anyone who is a parent cannot fail to be moved by the tributes paid to him by Eldon Celtic and Eamon Dolan. Every day is precious.

My son is in the same year group and football team as Callum (Stewart's older brother) and has said that today was a very difficult day at school, as you would imagine.

Deepest sympathy to his familly and friends of the familly at this sad time.

Does he go to Maiden Erlegh?!

Yeah school was very quiet today. There were councillers and people to go and talk to if needs be. You were also allowed to just walk out of the lesson if you needed some time out. People were crying in class.

I don't know if anyone is intrested, but there's a story about Stewart on BBC London news at half 6.

This news has, in my opinion, overshadowed Saturday's win. It's heartbreaking.

RFC also have their flags at half mast. Got to say, the club's responce to this has been tremendous and in some respects suprising as often we expect the club to turn a blind eye especially after the failure to have a minute's silence on remembrance weekend, but they're making it their main perogative and showing how we really do care for one of our own as one big family. By the figures which the police have given, the alarm was raised at 3pm after the minute silence at Sheffield United and we scored at about 3.06. A very nice touch, albeit coincidental.
