I qualify for most of the things described on this page.

In fact nearly all of it.

Went to Slough away Nov 1991 F A cup, got chased by a copper for mounting a pavement, then cutting across a massive lawned area in front of some flats in my haste to find a parking space due to the approaching kick off!!!! Wearing the away colours of the red and white "arrows" top (anyone remember?) I`ve still got it hanging in my wardrobe but sadly it doesn`t fit anymore . I got knocked over 3 times when we scored and took great delight in giving the home support the "maxwell house" hand gesture as we were 3-1 up with about 1 minute left. As everyone knows Slough went and nabbed 2 injury time goals to secure a replay at Elm Park. I moped back to my car (avoiding the Police!!) and then took ages to drive home down the M4 as thick fog had descended and visibility was virtually zero. I went to the replay where we nearly came unstuck again but eventually ran out 2-1 winners. Surely this must qualify me as a Reading fan?

2.You were born in the Royal Berks.
3.You have a relative that has worked in the Courage Brewery and Prudential.
4.You saw Michael Gilkes shank a cross into the Tilehurst End.
5.You know about the Butts Centre and don't relate it to an arsehole.
6.You saw Trevor Senior or Ron Blackman score.
7.You can instantly recite the three B's.
8.You speak with a very reynded accent.

1. Done Brentford and Chesterfield. Not Bristol city though.

How did I do harris? Can I pass as a Reading fan?

Nah, I'm as plastic as the next first-Championship-winning-season season ticket holder. Triple 8)

But did you see at least two of Steve Richardsons three goals for the club?

Oh, hang on a minute. Err ........ were you in the pie queue at Peterborogh for at least one of Steve Richardsons goals for the club?

Not particularly relevant but I was also at that game and went to see Eddie Izzard in the evening in London and nearly ruptured my bladder in the process. That was a great first date.

Born at home but transferred to Royal Berks because my nan and mumthought I was dead.
My great uncle's brother played for Reading in the 1920s.
Saw both Senior and Blackman score for Reading.
Since moving away in 1970 have been to about 96% of home league games and about 30% of away league games.
I used to work with Alan Sedunary.
My aunty was big mates with David Downes' mum.
I used to collect from Johnny Walker every Thursday as part of a pools round but stopped by to talk football for about 30 minutes each week.
Used to live 6 doors away from Jimmy Wheeler's mum and dad.
My daughter was born at Dellwood.
My son was mascot at Elm Park v Plymouth.
My brother worked at Huntley & Palmers for a while.
I survived going into the Tilehurst End Gents which was pitch black and worse than the one behind the South Bank.
I saw the evening friendly v a pigmy eleven.
I saw the televised friendly v Racing Club de Paris to celebrate our new floodlights.
An old school friend married the great Maurice Eddleston's daughter.
I went to a game at Elm Park during my brother's wedding reception.
Me and my mate Roger knew Dennis Allen's car registration ,I think it was ORV something.
Obviously there are more but it's getting late.........but I'm not a true fan because I still like Dave Kitson and Steve Sidwell and still dislike Stephen Hunt.

the 3 B's are taught at school, i'm 21 but was taught them in local history, so no excuses there, a decent history teacher can help every young Berkshire/Reading kid out..

hutch got chased by a copper for mounting a pavement

pervert!

As everyone knows Slough went and nabbed 2 injury time goals to secure a replay at Elm Park.

the funny thing was half of the home fans had buggered off thinking it was all over, and missed the comeback.

But for a real test of endurance, who went to all four cup ties v Welling?

cmonurz - You can recall the hilarious incident at Kenilworth Road back in League One days.
- You sat in traffic to turn up at Ashton Gate already 2-0 down. And we wore a yellow kit.
- You were at PANTS day.
- You remember when you could arrive at the Mad Stad half hour before the game, find a space, and only pay a fiver for it.
- You walked from Reading station to Elm Park in all degrees and types of weather, developing a recognisable 'football walk' of a certain pace and purpose.
- You know that Jesus did actually stand in the South Bank.
- You saw THAT Jamie Lambert goal.
- You were particularly under-whelmed by our last match at Elm Park, and took home a fist size clump of turf and an piece of advertising hoarding.

You stood on the terrace at Plough Lane next to Robin Friday at a pre-season friendly, after he had been substituted at half time.

You sold programmes and souveniers from a caravan on the Southbank concourse (years before the Rendezvous was built).

Played football for the original away supporters football team (Travellers).

Well I better hope we make it to the play offs then and get City so I can go, otherwise my life, up to this point, has been a farce!

You pulled Andy Rogers' tongue out of his throat.

You sang Butler is a Royal at Rotherham and then booed him for diving.

You cursed the Sheffield rain.

You ran from the Cardiff.

You feature in an old Reading video invading the Elm Park pitch.

You were an extra in the crowd on The Manageress.

Your granddad played in the same youth team as Johnny Brooks.

You've been to a Berks & Bucks Cup tie (preferably the final).

You're on first name terms with Colin Bishop.

Martin Allen slated your choice of shirt.

You've attended every single Northampton Town vs Reading first team fixture ever played at Sixfields, including friendlies.
