Strap may be an opinionated so and so but he is not stupid. And if I thought he was I would have said so, not used your name !

You may be unable to cope with two paragraphs in a post having different subjects but normal people can.

My observation holds true I see.

Your football knowledge isn't the best so I can see why you like to insult other people.

If you are going to argue with someones point/post then state what it is you disagree, quoting someone then calling someone else " stupid" without reason is complete idiocy.

Stupid people also start sentences with " And"- oh, look what you did.

To be fair to you FineRain, you probably missed the thread about the use of And and the various fallacies that go with it.

Yep, it was probably on AE- I don't troll there anymore.

You never start any sentence with " And", regardless of what the HNA " Anything else" section believes. :)

As it's a conjunction, you shouldn't. But people do. Sometimes through ignorance, sometimes for effect. Contrary to what Spacey thinks, the grammar police don't exist.

Although that fact does not excuse apostrophe abuse.

It was on the Papereyes' Clique of Boredom secret forum, how did you miss it?

See, I also got away with a sentence that has no verb. I must be literary, me.

I believe you started the same sentence with a conjunction as well.

Sometimes isn't a conjunction, it's an adverb. can you tell I've just been to a grammar summer school?

Yep, just reinforcing the point about conjunctions.

Grammatically But is no different to And.

Oh, I see. I thought you were mistaking it for another sentence without a verb in it. Yes, I did that for effect. To make my point, in fact.

Isn't this an exciting conversation?

FiNeRaIn
strap There is a huge amount of nonsense being spouted on this thread about Mr Mad's loans to the club. For goodness sake, go onto the Companies House website, pay your £1 (yes one solitary pound), and you can download the club's accounts for 07-08 (last available). Full details of all his loans, including interest rates charged, are there for all to see. There are no "gifts", no interest free loans (except to the Hotel), even when the loans are due for repayment, (on demand would you believe!!). Oh, and Mr mad owns Hogwood and charges RFC £18,000 pa rent on it.

HTH.

Thanks strap, hopefully this'll shut up people who claim he's bankrolling us and he's donating billions, etc

No probs, although I doubt mere facts will stop some of our more sychophantic members

As is my way, I have downloaded all the RFC reports since its inception (1998-99 season). and will try to do a year by year summary of loans, player values, wages etc, to see how we have progressed.

Just out of interest, Reading Football Club (Holdings) Ltd was only incorporated on 6th December 1999. Undera Scheme of Arrangement, sanctioned by the High Court of Justice on 7th February 2000, The holding company acquired The Reading Football Club Limited (formerly The Rading Football Club plc) on the basis of the allotment on 12th February 2000 to teh existing shareholders of The Reading Football Club Limited of 1 ordinary share of 50 pence each in the capital of The Reading Football Club (Holdings) plc for each share of 50 pence each formerly held in then in the Reading Football Club Limited.
The principal activity of the Company is that of a holdin company. The Company is the parent company of The Reading Football Club Limited, which itself has a wholly owned subsidiary, the Madejski Stadium Hotel Limited.

So the club we all support in our own way was only fomed in Dec 1999. We're all plastics!
