Wait until he moves to one of the top 5 clubs for £8 million at the end of the season whether Burnley stay up or not.

Pasted from general football, quotes from the Burnley message boards after last nights game.

"Kept his shirt on though, which was a let down. For purposes of continuity I should stress, rather than homo-eroticism."

But

"quality performance from him. Caldwell may struggle to get back in the team. Him and CC did very well." (hasn't Caldwell been a fixture in their defence for ages?)

"Superb signing, fantastic debut from a player who is not yet 'match fit' Played superbly alongside the immense Carlisle."

"Guys you are all spot on, watched it online and he just fitted in like he had been their for years".

"An immense debut. He was a colossus tonight."

"awsome player always rated him, hung around after game at players entrance as my lad got autographs, Bikey left, as we did 5 minutes later, walked down road past a burger van and Mr Bikey was parked there in his Range Rover burger and chips in hand !"

"Stunning performance, and what a debut. Signing of the summer."

What more to say? Can't have a liability like Bikey in our defence, can we? :|

I'm not sure what your point is, he turned in lots of performances like this for us when he fancied it. Let's wait until he can't be bothered and makes simple errors in concentration or judgement.

TBH, based on the highlights, it looked a typical Bikey performance. Strong defensively, so-so in the air, prone to ball-watching and scarily exciting when bringing the ball out.

That’s not to say we won’t miss him, a cult legend there’s no doubt, but he'll need a lot of improvement to make a Top 4 player.

This is spot on.

He has all the ability, but just switches off and makes silly mistakes. Still one hell of a player on his day, and one that Coppell should probably have trusted and played a bit more, although it wouldn't really have addressed our problems of scoring goals. Keeping them out was never much of a problem.

Letting him go was never really our choice. He wanted top flight football and we couldn't give it to him.

The price was about right. If he was really worth a lot more, by proving his consistent ability to defend at the required level, then clubs with more clout than Burnley would've been taking him off our hands.

cmonurz Four instances in over two years, two of those at either end of his time with us. My point is that, whilst I don't question his dodgy temprement, Bikey was never a Batty or a Keane - he didn't get a million bookings, wasn't overly aggressive on the field

He might've done if he'd played a few more games!

Just wait for the adulation to turn into contempt from all the people with the memory of a goldfish. Mass Sarr was God for a while and had the whole crowd doing the "We are not worthy" gestures. Now so many deny ever rating him and pretend he was always a waste of space.

Well what can be said about Bikey?! What a man what a legend gutted to see the maniac go. Was always a class about the players he was playing with and against in this league and will be sorely missed.

But Burnley?! Seriousely Andre that is a terrible move. £2.8million?! He's worth £7 mill imo and a terrible bit of business shown by a club who now have no ambition whatsoever

So which 'better clubs' were coming in with better bids for him then?

We beat Liverpool 3-1 when we went down, and drew 0-0 with Man Utd. Burnley are still doomed.

There always seems to be one result like that at the start of the season - I'd suggest our draws with United, Hull beating Arsenal, Watford got a win at Anfield early on about a decade back and were relegated by Easter.

I shall miss him but things move on and he has moved to a club with an excellent Manager (before I am picked up, I believe that Brendan Rodgers has the potential to be a good Manager). All the best, BK.

Sounds just like the comments we are making about our new centre half after his first league game

No more than a 'useless pikey' who has scored twice in 2 games for his new club!

I watched the whole game and this is a pretty accurate assessment. To be fair to Burnley, I thought they were excellent - very composed, strong on the break, good passing and excellent defending based primarily around a superb, all-action performance from Carlisle. Man U struggled to look dangerous.

The point about Hunt is not that his new team may be almost bottom of the Prem and might well be relegated

The point is he has scored two goals in two games, those games versus Chelsea and a resurgent Spurs.

So much for his being useless...

But for the last 18 months or so SHunt WAS useless for us - he didn't want to know. Didn't he score from a corner yesterday. Remember his corners at the Mad Stad last season?
