Z175 My understanding is that only the UK is still in the transfer window due to bank holiday yesterday? Therefore this means no teams from Czech Rep/Germany can now come in for Marek. If this is true I'm delighted, as once he has found is role, he does give us that bit of quality.

Hogmeister Royal European window closed yesterday, they can no longer sign players, although they can sell players to us until 5pm today.

leww_rfc so it looks like Matejovsky is going to stay![]()
but will he play much? i hope so
i can't understand why he's only started in the Carling cup, when he's obviously good enough for this division.

andrew1957 Really cannot see why hobnobbers have such a high regard for him. He usually plays well for 10 minutes in a game and has never played a top quality 90 minutes since he arrived that I can recall.
Having said that unless a loan was concluded and has not yet been reported, the chances are we are stuck with him anyway but I fear he will get few chances under BR.

He's our best midfielder.

Either this is a whoossshhh.
But that sort of comment is exactly what Andrew is talking about.
Why is he our best midfielder??

andrew1957 Frankly Sigurdsson has dome more effective things in the last two games than I recall Matejovsky doing in the last 12 months.
We all see the potential in Matejovsky but he does not actually produce very much - for all his supposed defense splitting passes I think he managed just one assist all last season.

LoyalRoyalFan He's a creative midfielder. From recent season's we lacked that sort of midfielder. A player who can create a goal-scoring chance or go for that long range shot. The only players who have been able to do that in recent years are the likes of Sidwell,Caskey or Michael Gilkes.
